1. Tell us more about yourself and your profession. 

I am a Dietitian Manonita Jain. I have done my graduation and post graduation from University of Delhi in Foods and Nutrition. I have been practicing in this field since 3 years. I have my own online diet clinic as ‘Healthy Diet & Fitness’ and have also launched my own healthy food products range as ‘Nourish Diet’.


2. What is your fitness mantra?

My fitness mantra is to live healthy and do all our work actively.


3. What are some of major misconceptions about diets and exercises?

Misconception about diet is that all people think that if they are on diet then they have to eat boring or boiled or without any spices food. But a healthy diet is never about this.


4. How can one maintain a healthy lifestyle?

Following a healthy diet on a daily basis and only for a short duration and daily physical activity for at least 30-45 mins.


5. How can one build a successful career in your field?

First one should have a keen interest in this field in all terms for motivating and counselling others, knowledge and interest of cooking and food, knowing about human body physiology. A person from this field should be dedicated to help others to improve their overall healthy.


6. What is one piece of advice you would like to give someone who wishes to lose weight?

A person who is aiming to reduce weight should not focus on numbers on weighing machines, rather should feel energetic and happy about how lighter and active they are feeling and enjoy the compliments from others. 

Also one should never opt for any short term weight loss diets or any fad diets so as to reduce weight in short period of time, as such diets are not at all healthy for our overall well-being.


7. How do diets and exercise contribute to overall well being and happiness?

Diets and daily physical activity, makes an individual active and enthusiastic. This not only creates positivity in our mind but also a person also looks confident from outside.

And diet is one of the major important and the initial thing which could drastically hamper our life and health or could never make us unhealthy.
