My journey is all about sales. All aspects need absolute knowledge of business environment and continuous learning. I handle all aspects of business like

  • Primary sales
  • B2B sales
  • Direct outlet sales.


2. What is a typical role of a Business Development person in any organization?

A business development person is like the front-line soldier. His primary work is to collect information from the market and dynamically alter his course so that the objectives of the company are effectively delivered in the market place.   


3. What skills does one need to make a career in BD/Sales?

The key skills one must possess are

  • Learning ability 
  • Listening skill
  • personnel handling
  • Budgeting and costing
  • Good communication skills
  • Relationship management


4. Could you share some generic tips for lead conversion?

Learn daily facts. Both domestic and market related facts. Start off by discussing general scenarios and match them with your company objectives and then convert it into sales. Need specific skill set.    


5. How can one know if they have a knack for Business Development and will enjoy the role?

One who is having excellent social skills, have a knock for daily experiences and one who has creativity. If he has this he has a charm for sales.      


6. Which is your favorite book and why?

Its a Tamil Book named Ponniyin selvan. It picturizes the Epic Tamil historical culture. Also the lead character named Vandhiyathevan teaches a lot of qualities such as leadership, presence of mind, situational handling etc,
