1. Tell us more about your role & responsibilities at your college?

I have two roles at my college. I am the class representative and also works as a campus ambassador for two different organizations. My role is to unite our batch and take a decision that benefits everyone. I make sure that no student feels inferior or lonely in the classroom. Being the campus ambassador I influence people to check out the work of the organization. I just love to talk to different people and get inspiration from them.

2. How did you rise up to your position and how can a student aspiring the same, approach it?

To get selected as a class representative is an easy job. There was a voting scene in the college on the very first day. If anyone wants to achieve something and wants to stand out of the herd, then they must have the courage to accept failure, with this thing in my mind I decided to stand for the position. Henceforth I got votes in my favor and am working on it.

3. What have been some of your biggest challenges and learnings from what you do?

The biggest challenges were not more in this session. Only one thing that usually eats up my mind was while uniting the class about a single decision. In a class of more than sixty-five students, it was really a hectic task to listen to each and everyone's view regarding any decision. But yes It makes me feel happy that after some efforts it usually ends in a good way.

4. What did you do in your current role that makes you feel really proud of yourself?

In my current role as being an ambassador, I am working on a topic that is not discussed more i.e. menstrual hygiene. This makes me proud that yes I am working for the benefits of females all around. When we educate some people about this and breaks down the myths, it gives me immense pleasure that yes I am there for someone in need.

5. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

I would really like to say one thing that the motivation lies within yourself. Do not go here and there to search for peace and success, its all withing you. Just have the courage to accept failure and humbleness to accept success. Keep working until you reach up to the milestone that you want in your life. Be proud of yourself and takes steps daily towards your goal. If you feel lost then look at your own achievements and mistakes. That will give you quick and long-lasting motivation.
