1. Tell us more about your role & responsibilities at your college?

In my first year, I was class representative of my batch, active member of Hindi Debating Society, and for 'Riwayat' 2020 (Annual fest of debating society-Sameeksha). I was elected as Director of Marketing for my CR's post, my responsibilities included coordination between batchmates and professors, forwarding official messages regarding seminars, workshops, internships, competitions from official CR WhatsApp group to our batch group, take care of day-to-day work of my batchmates.

As a member of the debating society, my responsibilities included, participating in maximum debates, attending seminars, and workshops in my college as well as in other colleges and to manage debate competition in my college. For my post of Director of marketing, my responsibilities included sharing all details regarding Riwayat on social media platforms as well as to Volunteer in Riwayat.

2. How did you rise up to your position and how can a student aspiring the same, approach it?

I had Passion and aspiration to learn new skills. I was dedicated to learning new things from the first day of my college. I got elected as CR and selected as a member of debating society when I auditioned for it. Learn from your mistakes, don't hesitate to try new things, get in touch with your seniors and everything will fall in the place.

3. What have been some of your biggest challenges and learnings from what you do?

The biggest challenges were to unite my batchmates for my decisions to convince them for seminars, workshops, internships, to convince them to come to college regularly, to maintain a healthy relationship between batchmates and professors. My learning was to have patience in pressurized situations and manage things properly.

4. What did you do in your current role that makes you feel really proud of yourself?

I feel proud to be a CR and debating society member as I am a very introverted person. I belong to a very small village where I didn't have facilities to speak in front of lots of people and didn't get a chance to learn lots of things. So, I am thankful to God to give me such opportunities by which I could develop such confidence in myself.

5. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

My message for all the students to do an internship is that it can build your CV through which you can learn new skills. And for seminars and workshops, I would like to say that, you can learn communication skills and gain knowledge.
