1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I, Sona Sachdeva the founder of Sona Sachdeva Photography based out of delhi but covering weddings PAN India with a team of photographers and cinematographers we have covered 500+ weddings till now.

I come from an opposite background, a commerce student who was about to do MBA but wanted to follow my dreams to achieve something in photography.

The journey has not been easy at all, being a female photographer and that too a wedding photographer is not a socially acceptable thing that people hear and get shocked when they get to know which im used to hearing in the past 6 years. But its been worth it, the families i meet and such compassion i see towards me is totally amazing!

2. How and when did you realize your passion for photography?

I realised it in college itself that i want to do something in photography, i was not sure that it will be weddings but i was sure that i want to pursue my photography skills due to remarkable compliments i used to get in everything I clicked!

3. What are some tips you would like to share with amateur photographers?

Some tips that i would i like to share with all photographers is that i know you might think a lot before doing any course in photography or maybe taking it as a profession thinking you might fail at it but trust me, if you are good at it you should definitely try because if you never try you will never know!

4. What are the important skills one should have to be a successful photographer?

I'm still learning, i learn everyday. Photography is an art and is so wide in itself that there is so much one can achieve in this! To take it up professionally, having the proper equipment, proper use of light and shadows to play around with photos and most importantly the FRAME! That's very important, I believe the frame needs to perfect so that whoever is seeing your art goes like ‘WOW’

5. What are various opportunities  available for aspiring photographers?

There are so many opportunities for various types of professionals in photography -
