1. Tell us about your role and responsibility at your college?

Working as a head of a society, the major work is to ensure that all the tasks planned for the members are getting implemented, accordingly. My role is to do the Research and Development work with my core team and formulate new ideas in which we can learn photography with different perspectives. This involves weekly photowalks, in
house and outside coverages, planning multiple events etc.

2. How can we encourage more young students such as yourself to take up leadership role?

I personally got  motivation to take up a leadership role by watching my elder sister managing a head post as a President in a flawless manner. I believe, if we provide a similar environment to the younger generation, they'll observe and learn, eventually. For that, it is our responsibility to organise various activities, interactive sessions etc. from which they can learn and grow.

3. What have been the biggest challenges and learning from what you do?

Facing a challenge  and overcoming it is a mandatory milestone when it comes to learn something. There were multiple challenges that I faced but, the biggest of all was knowing the art of   collaboration. With my patience and utmost dedication towards the work, catching up the environmental learnings along with cooperation of my fellow teammates, I ultimately managed to work with the team and learnt how the contribution and growth of each member is of great significance.

4. What are your career goals and how is what are you doing is going to help you with that?

I have a keen interest in Supply Chain Management and I want to pursue this field as my interest is in the practical aspects. Being a head, provided me with multiple managerial opportunities which involved arrangement of various photographic equipments, other fest related arrangements, managing the teams, public relations, managing with the college authorities for conducting events like exhibitions, seminars, workshops, etc. This helped me with my internships and I believe this will help me with my professional work life as well.

5. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

Internship & Conferences provide hands on experience which prove to be of value while establishing a career. We get to work with a more knowledgeable other who can guide us as per the need. Also, these experiences hold a value in our CV. It is a pre-service training which helps us go a long way in the future.
