1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

The journe
y of an Artist is NEVER ENDING. I always feel blessed and happy that God has given this beautiful talent to express myself and I was so sure from the beginning that i really want to do something good out of it! And according to me What makes an artist is dedication, commitment and constant practice.

The term good artist is a subjective one, but I'd say first thing is definitely practice. My personal experience, I've been drawing since I learned how to hold a pencil because that was my favorite thing to do, and that kept going through all my school years, to the point that I knew I really want to take out something good out of my Talent!

I've filled countless sketchbooks, painted a lot of things, on different types of paper, wood, used acrylics, watercolors, oil paints and a lot of DIY stuffs!
And finally 3-4 years back, I decided to put some of my stuffs at YouTube, because being a teenager, I Always crave for the recognition!

But soon it turned out that I got stucked with less subscribers and likes but that just gives me more motivation to bring more good stuffs and then I started to share at Instagram!

I came up with an idea to deliver the most unique arts so I named my page ECCENTRIC UNICORN, which itself is a combination of uniqueness and beautiful imaginations. Then and there with constant practice and dedication, I started working hard and always tried to improve myself everyday!

I started with very few followers and 200-300 views only. It took me around 2 years and immense dedication towards my page and I am blessed that people really like my work and slowly and gradually I went from 200 views to 15 million+ views.

Once you know you are an artist you will want to be the best artist you can. If I had to recommend one thing it would be, Keep drawing!

2.When did you decide you wanted to be a painter/illustrator?

I was a very creative child. I always used to draw. I was quite clear from the beginning whatever I choose to become, I'll never stop painting. Painting is my way to feel relaxed.

So, when I was 12 or 13, I remember I was sitting with my dad and he showed me his masterpieces that he painted when he was of my age. Watching them makes me happy and my hands started to express themselves with a dedication to be like my dad. That was the time when I found myself capable of doing this.

3. Is it a financially stable career?

I am kind of an artist who believes in delivering what comes in my heart!  I believe being an artist is a state of mind coupled with intended activities and Not a profession! Perhaps, It depends on your motivation. It certainly isn't easy to become financially successful in that field.

However, if you have courage and you're willing to take that risk, and you're passionate enough, maybe it is for you. Ask yourself: "Can you imagine yourself doing something else?",  "Are there other career opportunities that you'd be just as happy to pursue?", And I really don't think so that one can be successful without taking risk! Just do your work devotion-ally and you'll shine.

4. Who is your favorite illustrator and why?

It has to be Bob Ross. He inspires me a lot. He was an amazing painter and above this he was an optimistic and a happy soul. I love listening to him. It feels so calm and relaxing. He just not teaches you how to paint but also how to live your life freely without thinking what people will think. As he says "we don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents", I'm just doing that.

5. Where do you get inspired to create art?

Inspiration is everywhere, you just need creative eyes to see it. I get my Inspiration from nature. Nature is a beautiful art in itself. All the color combinations in the nature are appealing to me. I love flowers, trees, mountains and ocean and I usually draw them in my paintings.
And positive response and comments for my work inspires me to create more.

6. What does your typical day look like?

A typical day in my life is very basic and it starts with thinking what I need to do today and ends with a constant fight to bring best in me. I give time to everything, my college, my work, and my family & friends. I create content around my life not my life around content.

I try to maintain a balance between both. But life is all about ups and downs so there are some days when I feel like doing nothing. But above all this I try to stay positive.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future aspiring illustrators?

I'll say you don't need wings to fly, all you need is your ID that's IMAGINATION and DEDICATION. Have faith in yourself, just dip your brush in soul and paint your heart out.

Success may come late but if you are true towards your work it will come definitely.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

I'm not much of a reader but I have read some. One of my favorite book is "ME BEFORE YOU" by Jojo Moyes. It's a romantic novel but not a typical one. The book is about two people Will and Louica. The best thing about this is the unexpected ending.

In the beginning, it seems like any another love story with a happy ending but Jojo breaks down the notion of romantic novel. At the end, I respected the decision of Will and Louica too as love is not just about holding onto someone, it's also about letting go of them when time is right. This book gives you a different perspective.
