Serious Anguish

Many of our precious readers are here just stumbling across another piece of article in their daily feed and gaining knowledge.

Eat My News is creating a tremendous positive change in society by sharing the unique thoughts of unique writers in our country but let me remind you, dear readers, this is not yet another article but serious anguish.

So, this morning I woke up to another news of a girl shattered to death by some murderers of our sisters roaming freely in our country. In a tragic incident on August 10, a girl named Sudeeksha Bhati from Uttar Pradesh fell prey to these monsters.

She was going to her uncle Manoj Bhati’s house located at Sikandrabad when she was chased by the eve-teasers who started performing stunts near Sudeeksha’s bike. She was traveling on a bike with her uncle who was facing difficulty in doing so because of the eve-teasers.

Suddenly, in response to an extreme stunt, her uncle lost his control and they fell off. Sudeeksha fell along the roadside and succumbed to her head injuries on the spot.

District Topper

In between this, let me introduce to you who she was. She was the district topper in CBSE who was rewarded with a 3.83 Crore scholarship to study in the U.S. She hailed from a small village in Bulandshahar and belonged to a middle-class family. Her father was a lowly tea-seller.

To my outrage for this now a hell-for-girls nation, she already did her best to escape this murderer country where a rapist got sentenced to death after long 7 years. Even then the defense lawyer of the rapist said to Nirbhaya’s mother-“Till, I’m here there rapists will not get sentenced to death. Do what you can do!”

What do you think readers? Will this news will create wonders in our law system? Let me sadly confirm to you- No.

Need to Protest

These achievements of her don’t matter now other than that she was a daughter of India who was intelligent enough to have the power to create a change and bring pride to our nation.

This will too remain in a piece of news, some tweets, some Facebook posts where you will go, react sadly and that’s it. And India will get another news of a girl shattered the next morning. Probably writer’s or the reader’s own sister, wife, mother, daughter, or that Girlfriend whom you love her a lot and plan to marry.

My words may seem of certain discomfort to you but will India get that even minimum change if I edit this article and remove these provoking lines?

We are just putting our own female counterparts in a very vulnerable situation if we don’t protest and come out to the streets.

Some months ago, some parts of Delhi came out to streets doing nuisance, some colleges blocked the road in front with the demand to take back a Law which ensures the safe return of daughters and families who want to come out of a terrorist nation.

We can just stop someone to take a step that will benefit a tortured family who wants a safe place for their daughters who got raped and tortured on religious lines.

But for our own daughters of this country, we can’t go ahead to make a single law that whosever gets a name connected with murder or any crime towards a female will be put to a life-degrading punishment even without a trial. That must be the barbarism to kill these barbarians of our sisters.

Yet again what is more painful is that again Bollywood will produce songs like- “Khaali Peeli rokne ka nai, Tera peecha karu toh tokne ka nai” and again this will become a trend. The following day, songs will release materializing girls.

In Sanskrit, there is a saying- “यत्रनार्यस्तुपूज्यन्तेरमन्तेतत्रदेवता:।” which means in turn that- Where women are respected and prayed, in that society remains prosperity and happiness. It wants you to realize- “We as a society are failing.”
