Nowadays, life has become easier with reality shows and social media, I just want to tell the newbies not to take this opportunity for granted because when we came we didn't have much on our plater, so if you guys have these things then cherish it and value it, and if you want to become an actor then work on your craft and if influencer then does something better than others



Tell us something about your background and journey.


I come from a very upper-middle-class Bengali family, and we are culturally very strong. Nobody from my family was in film industry rather I had a very educational and political background so I was the black sheep of the entire fraternity, I in a way had to become a rebel to pursue this career, but I was very supportive and I think she only had this hidden talent of becoming an actor and she saw it happening in me so she pushed me to become an actor



Who inspired you to become an actor?


Since childhood, I was a crazy fan of Sridevi mam, all her songs and films were like the back of my head and I use to dream that Sridevi mam is my mother, so she always inspired me to become an actor



What challenges did you face to pursue your goals?


A lot of family pressure, and it created a lot of problems between my parents, in fact, my mom and dad separated because of this decision of mine, there was other lot baggage but this was the key factor. Also when I came to Bombay not having any buddy from the industry, learning every day everything new and not being part of any clan of the gang, of course, it was difficult but sustained last 10 years in this industry and grateful.



How did you feel when you won the title of Boogie Woogie?


Boogie Woogie is another picture in my life, I was a member of YMC and I use to go there to swim and when I saw boogie Woogie audition happening there. I lied in my house and went to gave the audition and I had to stand for 3 consecutive days for the auditions and then my turn came and luckily got selected. 

My maa was very supportive and she decided the costumes and the tracks and after that, I was a star, of course, I was in 9th standard and became the most popular girl in school and looking yourself for the first time on televison  that was a proud



Any piece of advice for the coming generation?

Concentrate on one thing not on too many things because this way you will land up doing nothing.
