Never compare your work with anybody on social media. Everyone is working hard and has different goals and aspirations.  All you should do is to be consistent at what you do and focus on yourself. Eventually everything falls into place if you work hard for your goals.

1.Tell us about your background and journey.

I’m a BBA graduate and a Digital Marketer. I had completed my bachelors in 2017 and started working in a company as a Deals and Promotional Analyst. But I always had a zeal to create something of my own which would have a larger impact and blogging was something which interested me as a hobby and being a Digital Marketer I could see the power of building a community. I then started my own community as a food blogger in 2016 but shifted my focus on Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle Blogging since 2018.

I left my job to focus on my career as a full time content creator  and since then there was no looking back. By the end of 2018 I started focusing on video based content and since the lockdown happened my focus got doubled and eventually my page started booming.

I never planned my journey to be a content creator but I always wanted to prove myself that whatever I do it should make me happy by the end of the day. Creating content made me happy and I am grateful for where I am at this point of my life.

2.When did you first decide that you wanted to start your page on Instagram and how did you start?

In my college days I was a big time foodie. I shared my love for food through clicking pictures and posting them on Instagram. But then I started seeing beauty content emerging on social media. I researched about beauty content creators and finally one fine day I took the courage and started making beauty and skincare content. Initially I had no idea about makeup but I used to see so many Youtube videos the entire day and get inspired and tried creating content the next day.

Slowly my community started growing and I got a great response from my audience and finally we are going to be a 80k family soon on Instagram. I had never planned becoming a content creator but my love for makeup started emerging and it led me to a beautiful journey of life.

3.What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

Success never comes easy and you can never measure it. My mantra in life is when you are happy and content at what you are doing you’ll never get bored of it and you’ll never stop doing it. Sometimes even if you have to choose a hard path in life which has slow growth and is not mainstream, choose it because you never know where it will take you. So follow your heart and it’ll guide you to your path.

4. Who is your favorite beauty influencer and why?

There are tons of exceptional influencers out there who inspire me a lot. But if I had to choose then it would be @nikkietutorials @malvikasitlani @shreyajain.
The reason they are my favorite is because they started their page like a normal teenager who loves makeup and they have grown themselves on their own also they are completely self taught beauty influencers and seeing them I used to feel, if they can do so can I do.

5.How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

In the current scenario it's very easy to become a social media influencer as everyone is quite well equipped with the equipment but keeping aside the technical factors there are more things to keep in mind when you think of being a social media influencer.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that you need to have confidence to speak and be comfortable in front of the camera. Also you need to have the right knowledge of your niche. Be extremely sure of what you show and put in front of your audience. Lastly, just be yourself and show the best you have which makes you different from others.

6.Which is your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari” By Robin Sharma. The reason I like this book is because of the meaning it gave me in life. It is important to work hard and be successful but it's also important to seek a more meaningful existence of life such as positive thinking and setting your goals and respecting the value of time. It gave me a wider perspective of life and I would highly recommend all of you to give it a try.

7.What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

I would like to give a small piece of advice to all the budding creators/bloggers out there that just be the best version of yourself and don’t lose hope or get disheartened about the fact that the growth is slow. This is a time taking process but it's totally worth it.

Never compare your work with anybody on social media. Everyone is working hard and has different goals and aspirations.  All you should do is to be consistent at what you do and focus on yourself. Eventually everything falls into place if you work hard for your goals.
