From a very young age I have an immense love for cinema, although I was unaware of the craft of filmmaking. I still remember the proud feeling of memorizing the movie dialogues and repeating them in front of my family at that age.

1.Tell us about your background and journey.

I am from Hyderabad, Telangana also called as the city of pearls. I come from a conservative family, my father owns his own business and my mother works for the Telangana forest department.

From a very young age I have an immense love for cinema, although I was unaware of the craft of filmmaking. I still remember the proud feeling of memorizing the movie dialogues and repeating them in front of my family at that age. Also, I was an active member of cultural programs during my schooling and college times.
When I started exploring myself and started understanding my interest, I thought of opting Bachelors in filmmaking (BFA) in film + media from Jawaharlal Nehru architecture and fine arts university, after completing my intermediate, but, somehow that didn’t happen as expected.

I was a kid with multiple interests and that made me rethink my decisions on what I want to do in life. I had a weird liking for science, mainly physics. I mentioned it weird because I never topped in my exams but loved the concepts in physics. I did my bachelor’s in mechanical engineering in India and currently pursuing my Master’s of Aerospace Engineering from The University of Adelaide, Australia.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

While doing my bachelor’s I started making short videos on Instagram and Dubsmash. People started liking them and eventually, it led to a few short films and a web series on YouTube which was also telecasted on television. From 2016-2018, I gabbed every possible opportunity to understand the craft. Right now, I am concentrating on my masters and hoping to come up with some good content in near future.

3. Who is your favorite creator and why?

I don’t have favorite creators, I have favorite filmmakers and artists. I won’t say YouTube is not a good platform for creators, YouTube is one of the best platforms to show your creativity and let the world know what you are capable of as an artist. My point here is making a film involves a larger craft when compared to making a YouTube video. I hardly consume YouTube content so it’s hard for me to decide a favorite creator. I had worked with few creators in the past and they are doing pretty great now and I’m happy for them.

If I may take this opportunity to talk about my favorite filmmakers, I would say Directors Trivikram and Puri Jagannath for their writings, director RGV for his ideology any many lyric writers that I look up to.

4. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Once you know what you are good at, you will eventually find the inspiration to churn out the content. There is no particular formula for super hit content. I think you have to just mix up your interests while creating/planning to develop content. That will turn out to be a unique one and you don’t have to keep brain stomping every time. Just keep believing in the content you do and it will manifest.

5. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

I think I’m am too young to talk about success, I’m still in my learning curve. All I can say is success demands your efforts, it takes your time and energy, you have to be patient and ready to push your limits no matter what. I feel the word ‘success’ is subjective, it depends on the individual’s interests and their goals. Someone might feel getting a job means success and someone might feel making a million-dollar is a success. So, the Success mantra of one person doesn’t have to imply on others but I believe the roots are still the same, efforts and consistency.

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Be creative, keep yourself updated, level up, and do it on a larger scale and be an artist, most importantly prepare yourself to face the harsh reality.
