11 Tips for Anxiety Control


Feeling anxious as if nothing is in your favor is normal but it can be bad for you. Anxiety is that sudden sensation in your body and mind that you can not control. There may be many reasons for a person feeling anxious and it’s fine, here are some tips that can be helpful to you when you have that next anxiety attack.

  1. Put a cold water bag on your neck -This will help your mind be sent with the signals to calm down. Putting a cold water bag on the neck will help calm the tickling sensations.
  2. Ask yourself what is making you anxious - Question yourself that what is making me anxious? Is it a big of a situation or problem or is it just overthinking? This will help u better gain control of your anxiety.
  3. Hold an ice cube, this will distract your mind from whatever is causing your anxiety.
  4. Talk to your loved ones, share your feelings - Talk to your loved ones, share your feeling with them. This will help you speak out your issues and problems and you will find peace resulting in diminishing your anxiety.
  5. Go for a walk, read some good books - Reading something that makes you happy or going on a calm walk, will signal your mind that all is okay and there is nothing to be worried about.
  6. Do yoga, this will help your mind and body relax - Doing yoga will bring you inner peace. Breathing exercises while having an anxiety attack will help you calm and gain back control over your mind and body and soul.
  7. Make a diary and note what makes you anxious - Making a diary will help you analyze, that what are the main things that trigger your anxiety attack. This will help you later.
  8. Participate in various activities -Volunteer or find another way to be active in your community, which creates a support network and gives you a break from everyday stress.
  9. Count to 10 slowly - Repeat, and count to 20 if necessary. This way you will be able to calm yourself and control your body and mind.
  10. Do your best - Instead of aiming for perfection, which isn’t possible, be proud of however close you get. Don’t be too harsh on yourself or make yourself feel any inferior. What you do is the best and not everything needs to be perfect.
  11. Maintain a positive attitude - Make an effort to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Remember the moments that have made you laugh and smile and extend those lips sideways forming a smile.


Anxiety is nothing to be afraid of or be ashamed of. It’s a part of who you are. Just don’t let it overpower you and remember to remind yourself that you are perfect the way you are. Surround yourself with those who respect you and love and understand you. Everything will be fine in the end.
