Should You Choose Eatables Over Humanity?

Countries fighting for more power, fights due to misunderstandings are all understandable, but fights to happen on the grounds of a 'sandwich' makes us skeptical.

Wait, what, a sandwich!?

Yes, my dear reader, a 'sandwich'. Let's read together with the reasons for strain due to a sandwich.

The sandwiches I'm discussing are no different. They also have 2 pieces that cover the inside filling. But the one which caused havoc was a crispy fried chicken breast, topped with pickles, slicked with your choice of mayo or spicy Cajun sauce, and nestled on a brioche bun. If it can water our mouth then think of the people who had access to this tasty stuff.

Popeyes, the company whose sandwiches had hearts of the people, had to deliver them nationally because of the popularity which this little stuff had gained. And the demand was at a level that led to a shortage of sandwiches in shops for about two months. The sandwiches returned, but their arrival took a fatal turn, which no one could have thought of. The popularity made sure of a long queue, but who knew the cost of cutting that queue. A customer was stabbed to death for breaking the long line for one of those desired sandwiches.

It was the new year and many other stores were also open.

The war I was pointing to earlier in the article was caused due to a 'tweet' and it was the same tweet that had added fuel to the fire, fire of popularity of 'that' eatable.

It goes like this:

Chick-fil-A, a competitor, tweeted "Bun + Chicken + Pickles = all the (heart emoji) for the original."

Popeyes shot back at Chick-fil-A’s subtle dig, asking "... y’all good?"

This tweet had made people set on fire and over three lakh people had liked it.

Wendy's, which is known for relishing clapbacks and complaining to its competitors, soon entered into the fray: "Y’all out here fighting about which of these fools has the second-best chicken sandwich."

Chick-fil-A was near to its victory because it is famous as 'America's No.1 Fast Food Restaurant' and parents do like it. The war (sandwich) which marked its footprints in 2019 had entered 2020 as well because other fast-food restaurants have also entered into the competition to outshine others.

Be it 'Taco Bell' who had begun testing its Crispy Tortilla Chicken in Dayton, Ohio, and Houston or 'KFC' who looked to another trend: plant-based meats or 'McDonald's' who tested its new invention, a new Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a Deluxe Crispy Chicken Sandwich that better resemble the popular Popeyes and Chick-fil-A sandwiches.

It is the fuel that ignites the fire, and American's demand for chicken has acted as one in the fire of war. "In 2018, Americans ate 93.8 pounds of chicken per person. For 2020, that number is forecast to grow to 98.5 pounds.", says National Chicken Council.

Let's see what happens this year.
