1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

I’m an illustrator, and comic creator from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Currently working on some children book and comic book project.

2. When did you decide you wanted to be a painter/illustrator?

I love to doodle when I was a child, I feel lucky that I can draw for a living now.

3. Is it a financially stable career?

Yes, but it needs time to build up our career like some other job.

4. Who is your favourite illustrator and why?

My favourite illustrator is Olly Moss. I love his clever ideas and the colour scheme he uses in his art.

5. Where do you get inspired to create art?

My art is inspired by my daily life, everything around me can be an inspiration to me. A cup of tea, a piece of cake, even the weather, anything.

6. What does your typical day look like?

Before I start my work, usually I will spend some time in the morning on social networks and reply to emails, as an illustrator, we need social networks to let more people know about our art. I will take a short break in the afternoon to do some workout to refresh my mind, then continue with my work.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future aspiring illustrators?

Draw more, keep posting to let more people know about our art.

8. Which is your favourite book and why?

Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite by Paul Arden. This book inspired me a lot to not make something the same as others and to develop our own unique style.
