Hanshika Raj - You Are Absolutely Capable of Creating the Life You Can’t Stop Thinking about (Content Creator, India)

I want everyone to remember that their potential has no boundaries, so do what makes you happy.

You are absolutely capable of creating the life you can’t stop thinking about. Stop living in your head.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My full name is Hanshika Raj, my name means “ swan or a beautiful woman” my pronounce are she/her. I am a first-year law student.

I was born in Guwahati, Assam but I’m originally from Patna, Bihar.  I am an animal lover and a foodie soul. That’s all about me.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

A lot has changed since the first lockdown was imposed. Initially, I was at a mentally and physically relaxed pace. I always had new memes ideas on my mind.

People around me have always appreciated my sense of humour. I remember was in 12th and like every student I was waiting for my boards to get over and finally, I finished my board exams but unfortunately, the lockdown was announced right after.

I was not doing anything much except being cooped up at home during the COVID-19 lockdown, One day I casually dropped a video on a trending audio in 2020. I was overjoyed with the support and love.

I started noticing how people were relating their life with the videos I posted and how there were so many re-shares. That’s when I decided to make videos oftener.

3. Is content creation a financially sustainable career?

Honestly saying, I just enjoy making videos. So no, content creation is not my financial sustainable career for now.

4. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I find my inspiration from almost everyone and everything. I am too much into memes and I always call myself a clown because of some funny traumas I had in my life.

It sounds weird that how can a trauma be funny? But trust me the way I narrate it; it actually becomes funny. People like it when I express myself in a fun way and to me, there’s nothing greater than making someone laugh.

5. What does your typical day look like?

Apparently have chosen to stay at home more because of covid and the entire life is moving on with the online method.

I am an animal lover and right now I am more concerned about providing stray dogs with food and shelter rather than looking at the effect the coronavirus has had on human lives.

So the typical day in 2021 includes watching my favourite show “friends”, feeding stray dogs, eating, making videos, reading and so on. I barely step out of my house or travel right now.

And yes it is difficult staying at home but on the other hand, it's the greatest pleasure to me as I am spending all my time with my family and my dog.

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

Well, my favourite book is Jane and Abel.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Nothing much actually because I am learning every day. I believe that life is a learning experience.

But I want everyone to remember that their potential has no boundaries, so do what makes you happy.

You are absolutely capable of creating the life you can’t stop thinking about. Stop living in your head.
