1) Tell us more about your role & responsibilities at your college.

As soon as I entered the college, there came out the post of the class representative and then all the buzz began about the classroom election. It was really tough for me to initiate the conversation in that group of students where you know you could be bullied but voila! My initiative for stating the voting process made people believe that I could represent them!
Gone are the school times, being a CR of college is more than that! I learn a lot of communication skills and got to know a lot of students from all walk of lives. Plus, it turned out to be a big opener which helped me get into societies and shine.

2) What's it like to juggle between a leadership role and normal college life?

Nothing such as normal college life exists for me at least! College is all about exploring yourself to the fullest. It’s here where you can explore, fail without regrets and try again.

3) Do you enjoy the kind of influence you hold at such a young age?

This sounds so fun and cool, right? But as much as I like enjoying the influence at this young age, it brings along a lot of responsibilities. Being a representative means being a face for everybody who chose you and so living up to their expectations requires constant toil, being prudent and motivation to be responsible enough to not let them down.

4) Do you have a message for parents to allow their kids to do things besides academics?

I am glad viewpoints of many parents have changed today but yet those who hasn’t needed to change for definite reasons. We are in college who are parents helped us to be and grow in school. Never hold your child back! A student having his talents other than just academics portrayed on CV wins than just a student who scores well. Marks are important but not the end. Life is more than that.

5) What did you do in your current role that makes you feel really proud of yourself?

I was the one chosen among the bunch of 15 candidates; happily getting along with my faculty and batchmates, they reposing their faith and love in me is what I am proud about. Plus, not just being a boring kid at college.
CR has helped me get into 180Degrees Consulting, part of various internships in the field of marketing, volunteering and getting to know the council. So being ahead in the first year and doing something new every day is what makes me proud.

6) What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?
Internships are a must in college. With the competition reaching its peak, internships will really make you stand out and ace any interview later.
Attending conferences seems boring ?? No, they are important just as internships. Attending the conferences held by eminent leaders or anybody, helps you connect with a real story which may motivate you in a way you never imagined.

College is the last stage of your exploration without any fear of failure or pressure. So break the barriers and enjoy. Do whatever you want to and figure different things. You never know what lies ahead so grab every opportunity which knocks.

Move! Work! Fail! Get up and work again! Boom Success.
