Yoga is something
that connects your soul to the body. In our busy life, we are rushing for the
peace of mind but in reality we fail to get it. Yoga and Meditation is the only
way in which you can nourish your soul. Body refreshment is really very
important as we take a lot of work from it.
Yoga heels all the
pain whether it is physical or mental. When you are practicing Yoga, you are
actually in a state of mind where you can actually feel your breath, your
heartbeat and of course everything that is happening with your mind also.
Your body becomes
healthy once you started loving it. We eat when we are hungry; we drink when we
are thirsty but what about the love that our body needs from us? Self- care is
needed too.
No one wants to die
early. But have you ever thought that what are the things that will keep us
stay longer. If not, then think for a while. Your life span is directly linked
to the fact that how much your body is healthy.
So keep your body
healthy and let’s learn about the things you should know while practicing Yoga.
1.You Don’t Have to Be Flexible to Practice Yoga
Flexibility is not
the game of one day. It needs time and practice to be flexible. Once you will
start doing Yoga, you can actually see the results. You will feel flexible day
by day and then Yoga will become more of a ballet dance
form to you.
Then your muscles
will loosen up and you can feel every bone and muscle working for you. Then you
need not to be worry about trying some difficult yoga pose too.
2. You Can Actually Feel the State of Relaxation at
the End
There is a
misconception that Yoga leads to some supernatural zone that only spirits could
achieve. This is a mistake. After you will complete your Yoga session, you can
feel the fullness, peace and a real sense of relaxation of body and mind.
This can only be
achieved when you will completely concentrate on your breathing and body
movements. This will all take your focus in the present moment and you will
feel rejuvenated.
3. There Is No Perfect Body to Practice Yoga
Whenever you see
Yoga advertisements, you must have seen that people will sculptural bodies
performing yoga as circus postures not even making any mistakes. This is not
Yoga.
Yoga is something
that is relatable to every body type regardless of shape, size, tall or short,
young or old. Never ever feel ashamed if your body type doesn’t match with the
so called “perfect or ideal” body by the society. Ones your mind is all set,
you will actually see your essence goes far beyond what you see in the mirror.
4. You Don’t Have to Do a Handstand or Any Difficult
Pose
As it was said
before, it is Yoga not a circus show. These postures are just the eighth branch
of Yoga and everybody is beautiful and different in their own constitution
which must be respected.
The main reason
behind performing postures is just to stretch and strengthen your muscles.
Therefore, if for some reason if your body doesn’t allow you to perform
difficult postures; you can start by doing simple breathing and normal
movements.
5. Muscle Aches Will Alleviate With Practice
Once you will start
practicing Yoga in routine, you will get aware of each part of your body. You
will automatically start knowing about the limits of your body. There is no
need to push yourself hard, just practice till you can bear the pain.
Yoga is all about
knowing your body internally. Practicing day by day will give you energy and
you will feel more refreshed and active
thorough out the day. This will also help you perform better at your daily
chores.
6. It Is More Internal Than External
Yoga is not about
how hard you can push yourself to sculpt your body. It’s about how much you
feel relaxed even after doing simply breathing. It’s more linked to your state
of your mind rather than physical.
It’s all about
controlling the buzz and anxiety of your mind. You will therefore feel more
inner peace and relaxation and a greater connection to yourself.
7. Yoga Is Not Religion, It Is Philosophy
Most of the people
link Yoga with the Eastern Asia countries and more with Hinduism but it’s not
like that. Yoga is not having any connection with religion, it is just linked
to your mental and physical well-being.
It is about feeling
the alleviation of all oddities of life and feels refreshed and energetic. It
shares a strong connection with the essence of life. It is about reconnecting
with the energy of our soul and fullness of mind.
