7 Things You Need to Know About Yoga

 


Yoga is something that connects your soul to the body. In our busy life, we are rushing for the peace of mind but in reality we fail to get it. Yoga and Meditation is the only way in which you can nourish your soul. Body refreshment is really very important as we take a lot of work from it.

Yoga heels all the pain whether it is physical or mental. When you are practicing Yoga, you are actually in a state of mind where you can actually feel your breath, your heartbeat and of course everything that is happening with your mind also.

Your body becomes healthy once you started loving it. We eat when we are hungry; we drink when we are thirsty but what about the love that our body needs from us? Self- care is needed too.

No one wants to die early. But have you ever thought that what are the things that will keep us stay longer. If not, then think for a while. Your life span is directly linked to the fact that how much your body is healthy.

So keep your body healthy and let’s learn about the things you should know while practicing Yoga.


1.You Don’t Have to Be Flexible to Practice Yoga

Flexibility is not the game of one day. It needs time and practice to be flexible. Once you will start doing Yoga, you can actually see the results. You will feel flexible day by day and then Yoga will become more of a ballet dance form to you.

Then your muscles will loosen up and you can feel every bone and muscle working for you. Then you need not to be worry about trying some difficult yoga pose too.


2. You Can Actually Feel the State of Relaxation at the End

There is a misconception that Yoga leads to some supernatural zone that only spirits could achieve. This is a mistake. After you will complete your Yoga session, you can feel the fullness, peace and a real sense of relaxation of body and mind.

This can only be achieved when you will completely concentrate on your breathing and body movements. This will all take your focus in the present moment and you will feel rejuvenated.



3. There Is No Perfect Body to Practice Yoga

Whenever you see Yoga advertisements, you must have seen that people will sculptural bodies performing yoga as circus postures not even making any mistakes. This is not Yoga.

Yoga is something that is relatable to every body type regardless of shape, size, tall or short, young or old. Never ever feel ashamed if your body type doesn’t match with the so called “perfect or ideal” body by the society. Ones your mind is all set, you will actually see your essence goes far beyond what you see in the mirror.


4. You Don’t Have to Do a Handstand or Any Difficult Pose

As it was said before, it is Yoga not a circus show. These postures are just the eighth branch of Yoga and everybody is beautiful and different in their own constitution which must be respected.

The main reason behind performing postures is just to stretch and strengthen your muscles. Therefore, if for some reason if your body doesn’t allow you to perform difficult postures; you can start by doing simple breathing and normal movements.


5. Muscle Aches Will Alleviate With Practice

Once you will start practicing Yoga in routine, you will get aware of each part of your body. You will automatically start knowing about the limits of your body. There is no need to push yourself hard, just practice till you can bear the pain.

Yoga is all about knowing your body internally. Practicing day by day will give you energy and you will feel more refreshed  and active thorough out the day. This will also help you perform better at your daily chores.


6. It Is More Internal Than External

Yoga is not about how hard you can push yourself to sculpt your body. It’s about how much you feel relaxed even after doing simply breathing. It’s more linked to your state of your mind rather than physical.

It’s all about controlling the buzz and anxiety of your mind. You will therefore feel more inner peace and relaxation and a greater connection to yourself.


7. Yoga Is Not Religion, It Is Philosophy

Most of the people link Yoga with the Eastern Asia countries and more with Hinduism but it’s not like that. Yoga is not having any connection with religion, it is just linked to your mental and physical well-being.

It is about feeling the alleviation of all oddities of life and feels refreshed and energetic. It shares a strong connection with the essence of life. It is about reconnecting with the energy of our soul and fullness of mind.
