Harshdeep Singh - Beauty of the Training Industry Is You Can Coach Even After Your Jobs(Life Coach)

All my bullying, traumas, low self-esteem, depression, etc. now have become my strength and have made me a very strong person. So, everything in life happens for a reason. What's important is the meaning we attach to it.

This is the reason I have authored 2 books.

Tell us more about what you do and what led you into this industry.

I am an author, a personal mastery coach, an accidental engineer, youngest in a family of 5 and father of a dog Rio.

Since childhood, I was into things which involved 'people' like cricket, debates, travelling etc. But as I grew up, I faced racial bullying (over the span of 10 years) which led me to make a lot of false beliefs about myself and I ended up having very low self-esteem.

Low self-esteem ended up making me underconfident which in turn affected my cricket and studies (in school as well as in college). I performed badly in my first business (which started at the age of 18). I remember sleeping at my friends place 10-20 days a month for 6 months to hide my condition from my parents. At that time, my big goals kept me alive and I always used to tell myself that I am not a coward and I won't die without achieving my goals.

As the situation was becoming worse I took help and invested a good amount of money in my personal growth and healing. I got in touch with psychologists and coaches. I learnt a lot of things during this phase but the best tools which I learnt were CBT, neuro-linguistic programming and hypnosis, which helped me to come out of my depression.

As I learnt all these I healed from a lot of my past traumas and because of which now I am more grateful and happy. I have more sense of freedom, high self-worth and confidence.

As I healed myself and got unstuck in life it was my time to give back to society. That's how I got into personal mastery coaching. Since the age of 18 I was into direct selling wherein I used to train people in sales and marketing. But, I took a decision and a risk to start something different and I am happy I did it. The satisfaction I get when I can contribute to someone's life is immense!

Honestly, all my bullying, traumas, low self-esteem, depression, etc. now have become my strength and have made me a very strong person. So, everything in life happens for a reason. What's important is the meaning we attach to it.

This is the reason I have authored 2 books (First is a free ebook) and the second is going to be published soon (it's a self-help book that will be available both- online and offline).

Can personal mastery coaching become a full-time career?

Yes, personal mastery coaching can become a full-time career. The beauty of the training industry is you can coach after your jobs or businesses (part-time). The major thing I would suggest or require here is having good skills.

It's a good-paying industry as well but the amount of money, fame and love you will get is directly proportional to the results you produce in your clients or others life.

Which is your most favourite interaction with a client?

One of my very good friends was a digital marketer but he loved travelling and wanted to become a full-time traveller. However, he was facing a lot of inner resistance in switching his career as he enjoyed both the professions and had to feed his family as well.

He used to travel and shared a lot of amazing travel stories during the coaching session and I could see in his eyes the passion for travelling. Apart from the resistance, he used to lose his focus as he used to keep fantasising about travelling even during his work.

After just one session, his resistance was gone and I followed up after 1.5 months. He was doing both of the things together and building his business and personal brand around it. He is more focused and enjoys his life more!

This talk I enjoyed majorly because of the stories I got to know and the change I was able to create.
