Len Parent - I Fell Into It Accidentally! I’ve Been Blogging For Almost 7 Years Now And I Love Every Moment Of It (Influencer, Mabuhay)

Content consistency establishes your credibility, builds trust, and strengthens your reputation.

1. Tell us about your upbringing & journey.

My parents both worked outside the home. I am blessed because not everyone can say they had a great family. The older I get, the more I value my family. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I never experienced fear, loneliness or rejection from my parents.

They were always there for me, no matter what. This had a massive impact on me; I grew up believing I could do anything. No matter what happened, I would always have them guarding my back.

I attended Catholic School when I was in High School. I have two beautiful sisters and one brother. We had a lot of freedom to play outside with our neighbors (we lived in a neighborhood with tons of kids), we had helpers growing up.

Journey: Always learning! For me, it has come in intermittent spells like sudden drizzles or all at once when swathes of clouds give away all their water and it pours endlessly- I have walked the earth facing all of it, sometimes in a brave way, sometimes not so much, sometimes lacking any sort of courage or determination altogether.

But it has made me who I am today and I am thankful. I am thankful for all the mistakes I made, all the good decisions I took, all the flaws I had, all the triumphs, all the defeat, the crests, the troughs....everything. I have learnt that everything happens for a reason.

I wouldn't have it otherwise. It has made me the person I am today, someone whom a lot of people I love, care for, admire, respect and know like and love back. [well, there are a zillion other emotions too, sandwiched in there, and am glad for those too]

And I read this somewhere- There aren't any perfect answers to any of life's questions...only pieces of experience that fit the puzzle at the END So smile away Live. Laugh. Love. Always.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

When I first started blogging I had no idea that it could be a career. I fell into it accidentally! I’ve been blogging for almost 7 years now and I love every moment of it. Blogging helped me to support of family and continues to be my lucrative side-gig. I was motivated to create a blog by my bestfriend & sister.

I have always liked creating outfits and the amount of requests I received from people wanting to recreate my looks inspired me to collate them all in one place. I decided that if my fellow church friends love the outfits I'm wearing ,then others may like them too.

3. What are the best road trips have you taken across the country?

Since we got married, we’ve done 5 cross country road trips and dozens of shorter ones. In our opinion, road tripping is the best way to see the beauty of the United States. There is so much this country has to offer.

One of my favorite road trips was the drive through southwest Montana and northwest Wyoming with breathtaking views of the Absoroka and Beartooth Mountains. You’ll drive by glacial lakes, forest, waterfalls, and wildlife. To top it off, you end at the entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

4. What do you think made your content popular?

Consistent, high-quality, and engaging content impacts audience decision-making more than any other technique. For me, content consistency establishes your credibility, builds trust, and strengthens your reputation.

5. Are you someone who likes to take control of the wheel or stay back whilst enjoying the scenic vistas?

I consider myself both.

6. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Atlantic-Pacific (@blaireadiebee) For those of you wondering: Blair Eadie—the fashion blogger turned mega-influencer and now part-time Sarasota resident—is just as cool in person as she seems on the Internet. (And she’s just as beautiful and friendly, too.) I love her colorful and feminine style.

7. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Music is one of my greatest sources of inspiration. Movies. Kids. Their carefree spirit is something that we all embodied at one time. We can all learn a lot from a young child's lack of concern over what others think of them, and how it feels to be completely focused on having fun.

8. Which is your favourite book and why?

My favorite book of all time is "The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for?" book written by Christian Pastor Rick Warren. Knowing God's purpose for creating you will reduce your stress, focus your energy, simplify your decisions, give meaning to your life, and most important, prepare you for eternity.
