ANNIE WOLF

From early education to community-building, Annie Wolf is reshaping how girls and women understand their bodies, starting with conversations most avoid

Q. Your platform focuses on helping women reconnect with their bodies, what inspired you to start this journey, and how has it evolved over time?

I created Girls Club out of a personal need. After stepping away from my role as an elementary school teacher, I found myself navigating conversations around growth, puberty, and sex education with my eight-year-old daughter. In conversations with other mothers, I shared how I approached these topics, and one of them suggested I extend this guidance to their daughters as well.

That idea felt both meaningful and expansive. I began developing lesson plans and hosting weekly sessions where I taught young girls about their bodies in an empowering, age-appropriate way. Each session included self-love practices and affirmations, encouraging curiosity and open dialogue at home.

Over time, Girls Club has grown into weekly classes, retreats, and a Women’s Club for mothers. With increasing demand, I am now developing a teacher training program to bring this model to communities worldwide.

Q. Through Girls Club KC, you’re building a space around sisterhood and self-expression, what gap did you see that made this community necessary?

At a fundamental level, everyone wants to feel seen, heard, and understood. With my background in teaching, I’ve always prioritized creating safe, supportive environments for learning.

While Girls Club offers a structured curriculum, its true impact lies in the sense of connection it fosters. Each session begins with circle time, breathing exercises, and affirmations, creating space for participants to share openly, celebrate one another, and navigate challenges together.

This sense of belonging and mutual support addresses a gap that many young girls—and even women, experience.

Q. In a world that often disconnects women from their bodies, what does “the power of your body” truly mean to you?

Many women in my generation were never explicitly taught that their bodies are powerful. That’s why it’s important to say it clearly, teach it early, and reinforce it consistently.

When girls learn to understand and appreciate their bodies from a young age, it builds a foundation of confidence and self-worth. Thinking about the next generation growing up with this belief is incredibly powerful, it has the potential to shape more confident, self-assured individuals.

Q. Self-love is often talked about but rarely understood deeply—what does real, honest self-love look like beyond social media?

True self-love is rooted in self-awareness. It means understanding who you are, recognizing your unique strengths, and expressing that authentically.

It also involves speaking to yourself with kindness, practicing compassion, and allowing yourself grace. Self-love is not a destination, it’s an ongoing practice. Teaching these principles through Girls Club has also deepened my own relationship with self-love.

Q. How do you balance being vulnerable and authentic online while maintaining personal boundaries?

It’s a balance I’m still learning. I naturally share what I’m passionate about, but as my platform grows, I’ve become more intentional about setting boundaries, particularly when it comes to collaborations and opportunities.

Discernment is essential, though it can be overwhelming at times. My husband plays a key role in helping me stay grounded and focused on what truly matters.

Q. What is Annie like behind the scenes, when you’re not creating content or showing up online?

I value simple, meaningful moments. Spending time at home with my family is where I feel most grounded.

I also prioritize going to the gym and nurturing close friendships. My friendships are a vital source of support, inspiration, and balance in my life.

Q. What advice would you give to someone starting their journey of self-awareness and healing but unsure where to begin?

Self-awareness begins within. Start by cultivating compassionate self-talk and creating space for stillness through prayer or meditation.

Be intentional about your environment, the music you listen to, the content you consume, and the people you surround yourself with all influence your energy. If something consistently brings negativity into your life, recognize it and make conscious changes. Healing begins with awareness and intentional choices.

Q. What does the future look like for you, what are the next steps or larger visions you’re excited to bring to life?

My focus is on expanding Girls Club through a teacher training program, enabling more communities to access this work.

I also plan to develop online resources and classes for both girls and parents, helping them feel more confident navigating conversations around the body, self-worth, and empowerment.
