1. Tell us more about yourself and your life.
I am Amine Ben Salah, 34 years old, a doctor in finance, a university teacher and a project manager at the Tunisian Scout (non-governmental organization) and a volunteer in many associations for more than 15 years. My life is divided between teaching, scientific research and volunteering.
2. What led you into social activism?
Helping others and spreading joy between young people and children is one of the most important reasons that made me go to the social activity because life is not limited to routine work, but it extends to giving and volunteering and leaving your mark and impact in the society.
4. If one wants to contribute and make a difference in social causes, how can one do it?
If a person wants to make a difference in social issues, the first step from my point of view is, to be honest, and a believer in social justice and contribute from our stage to introducing those social issues in all events and forums, and we can organize a special event to educate the community on these issues and why not to run an advocacy campaign Among young people and between different age groups.
5. Who is your role model and why?
In fact, I don’t have a single person to tell that he/she is my role model, but I am with every person who tried hard to make the world into a better world, whatever its gender, religion, colour, or race.
6. What are some of the challenges and roadblocks you have faced along your journey?
The most important challenge is time management. It is sometimes difficult to reconcile your studies with volunteering in public life. Volunteering is an ethical commitment to a team and study is the key to success in life.
It does not help to be a good volunteer and a not successful person in your studies.
7. Your opinion about social media activism.
It is very important to use social media because it is available to all and through it, we can communicate and promote our ideas and principles to the public in an easy and fast way, despite the problems that exist in them that can sometimes lead to addiction. The important thing is to know how and when to use it and the purpose behind it.
