1. Tell us more about your company and your journey.

I dropped out of diploma in computer science, for two reasons:

1. realized I was negatively influenced by people around me

2. I was a miserable student anyways

Joined a Bio-medical equipment company as a sales executive to meet my expenses. Understood the industry operations, I quit after a year to start my own venture Govard Scientific in 2016. Govard Scientific offers services to pharma, food, agriculture and analytical testing companies and R&D laboratories.

2. How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it?

Coming from a Brahman family background, I was always told business is not meant for us. I wanted to change that medieval age mediocre thought.

3. What has been your biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

My biggest challenge was convincing my family to let me startup. They didn't let me do it, I started up anyway and told my family 2 months later. I lied I was still working for the company that I quit.

4. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

Each individual has their own definition of success. For me, actual success is not letting, the materialistic gains get to the head. We can live a joyous life.

5. What are some of the most important factors for running a successful business?

Decisiveness, trustworthiness, adaptability.

6. What are your tips for the first time and aspiring entrepreneurs?

Don't listen to your heart, don't listen to your brain, while taking big decisions. It's always the GUT you should listen to.

7. How can one overcome a hurdle of lack of funds when starting up?

If one believes in themselves and their product, they have to keep the EGO aside, be SHAMELESS and seek help.
