1. Tell us more about your role & responsibilities at your college.

For starters, I am the class representative of my section and also the Finance Vice Head of Éclat- The Economics Society of Daulat Ram College. Finance is the backbone of any society or department therefore it is a very crucial role and comes with a lot of responsibilities. Being a vice head you have to contact potential sponsors on a daily basis and at the same time manage the members in your respective committee.

2. What's it like to juggle between a leadership role and normal college life?

It is not easy especially during the fest season when I am not able to attend all my lectures but that is where my friends help me to catch up. Being a CR I have to make sure that my fellow students do not face a problem with their classes and at the same time I also have to maintain the well-being of my society. My team members and fellow vice head allow me to find equilibrium in this situation.

3. How do your parent's look at you participating in extracurricular activities?

My parents have always been really supportive. Even before college they have always encouraged me to broaden my choices and explore as much as I can.

4. What are the top skills that you have learned with what you do?

I think my communication skills have improved the most. My role majorly includes getting sponsorships for my department which means I have to talk and meet a lot of new people and that is helped me greatly.

5. How can we encourage more young students such as yourself to take-up leadership roles?

According In my opinion, I think all the young students should be given a fair opportunity to prove themselves in whatever way they think they are the best. This will allow them to discover themselves and make them more prepared for the real world out there.

6. What you did in your current role that makes you feel really proud of yourself?

I feel really proud of me for just getting this opportunity in the first place. And I'll always be grateful to my department for considering me worthy enough for this position. I also feel really glad that I got an opportunity to be associated with Optima- The Annual Economic Outlook, the official magazine of the Economics Department of DRC.

7. What's your message to encourage students to do internships and attend conferences?

Internships and Conferences project a real-life image of what we learn in our classrooms. Internships provide us with a trailer of a much bigger picture ahead. At this age we should grab as much experience as we can and explore ourselves and engage in activities beyond academics. Therefore they don't allow us to be just restricted in our classrooms rather polish us into someone who can tackle any problem that comes in front of them.
These are my respective answers, thank you again for doing this with me. I hope this helps!
