We've all watched animated movies at some point in our lives, they are all so fun and entertaining to watch, aren't they? But here's the thing, they go way beyond the spectacular visuals, adorable or funny characters, marvelous music, etc.

Their tales or plots turn out to be astounding life lessons we could take notes from. They make you feel joy, sorrow, peace, comfort and sometimes anger too. So, in case you're wondering what to watch- below, is a list of 7 Animated Movies you should watch if you haven't already.


1. Inside Out (2015)

Produced by Pixar Animated Studios, Inside Out is a film released by Walt Disney Pictures. It might be a little different from the animated movies you've watched usually, but this film is set in the mind of a young girl called Riley. 
After leaving behind her Midwest life in Minnesota, Riley and her family move into San Francisco. A pretty huge transformation, right?

This Oscar-winning movie shows us how five of her emotions- Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness struggle on how to steer her best through life in this new city, dwelling, school, etc. in these new surroundings of San Francisco.


2. Brave (2012)

Brave is a film set in Scotland about the impulsive and reckless daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, Merida. Merida is a proficient archer who is resolute in her life to follow her heart on her path. When she flouts an age-old custom, her actions unwittingly cause a commotion and tumult in the kingdom.

It makes matters worse when she turns to an elderly witch for help who grants her a hapless wish that she must reverse. Witness Merida finds the true meaning of Bravery in this film.


3. Wreck-It Ralph (2012)

Ralph is a video game character who is a villain and is sick of being the "bad guy". He leaves on a journey to change that but when he accidentally unleashes a dangerous enemy- the entire arcade is frightened.

Especially, Vanellope von Schweetz whose world is imperilled in the Sugar Rush- a candy-covered cart racing game. Will Ralph be able to become the "good guy" and save everyone? To find out, watch Wreck-It Ralph!


4. How To Train Your Dragon (2010)

An adaptation of Cressida Cowell's famous book series is the film- How to Trian Your Dragon. It is the adaption of Directors Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois.

In this film, Hiccup, the son of a Viking Chief must take the life of a dragon to prove his value to be inducted into his tribe. However, in a turn of events, he finds himself developing a friendship with the Night Fury.


5. Kung Fu Panda (2008)

Kung Fu Panda revolves around Po, the Panda who works in his family's noodle shop by day and aspires to master martial arts by night. Po learns that due to an ancient prophecy- he is the only chosen one who can save the day for his people.

On that account, Furious Five legends, Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper, Monkey, and their wise and scholarly sensei, Master Shifu try to transform Po and his fighting skills to defeat the malicious and evil-minded snow leopard, Tai Lung.


6. The Breadwinner (2017)

When the father of an 11-year-old, Parvana, is falsely arrested, she chops off her hair and disguises herself as a boy to provide for her family under the Taliban in Afghanistan in the year 2001.

She boards on a journey, operating alongside her friend Shauzia, in a world full of threats and freedom to locate her father and reunite her family.This is an inspirational story that uplifts us, it encourages us to keep ourself together and to strive to do our best in tough times.


7. The Croods (2013)

The Croods is about the journey of a family of cavemen who are in a search of a new dwelling place when their cave is wrecked. As if they aren't in a bad situation already, they meet a creative and inventive nomad- Guy.

With his help, they let go of their fear and terror of the outside world and learn that as long as they have each other, they will be able to survive.
