1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Raghav Sharma. I am a student at Indraprastha University I had an amazing journey in the food blogging industry. I started my food Instagram account for leisure time. 

And day-by-day as I get to post regularly. It feels very much interesting and fascinating by being a part of this industry. It gave me an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.


2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

When I was in the first year I use to go out for cafes a lot with my friends. this is so common in college life students that they are not interested in having lunch from home besides having outside food. 

So, I have a collection of food pictures. As one year passed I have a lot of food pictures. One day I get to know that we can also have food for free cafes and restaurants. So, then I decided to start up a blogging page on Instagram.


3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?


Yes, blogging and vlogging is definitely a sustainable career choice. You need to devote a lot of time. And you can only do it if you think it as a passion. As there are many people in this field. So. There is tough competition. if you want to earn. You can !!

But you have to keep in mind that you will not earn from the beginning. That platform can also provide you with collaborations with many known brands.


4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

My favorite content creator is @myfoodproject i.e. Shagun Malhotra. She is a well-known blogger on Instagram having 147K followers on Instagram. Although she has a great no. of followers, she is always ready to help small bloggers like me. She is such an inspiration to me. She uses to make amazing recipe videos, which are so easy to make and most of them are my favorite food items.


5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I try to grasp content from my home, outside street food, and cafes, but during these days as no one wants to eat from restraints. I also follow the same criteria and I used to create content from my home. 

My mother cooks very delicious food, she is an inspiration to me. other than the fact that we cannot eat outside food. my mother uses to cook it for me at home only, whether it is pizza, pasta, burger, garlic bread, and many more, and also I am good at making milkshakes so I try to make new recipe videos and recently I started my youtube channel also. so I post my recipe videos on the youtube channel.


6. What does your typical day look like?

I always wanted to grab new recipe videos so I daily practice to make a video, while my mother cooks a new dish in the kitchen. I use to surf a lot on Instagram to grab new ideas for my new content.

 I always want to keep myself updated about what is trending going on Instagram. Because trending things will simply help to reach your content with a large no. of people.


7. Which is your favorite book and why? 


Although I am a food blogger, I am also a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar, I loved the style he used to play cricket, so, in my life, my favorite book is the autobiography of Sachin Tendulkar, this is my favorite boom because this is the first book I have read and I was very much inspired by the title “playing it my way”.


8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

I want to say just be passionate while doing creating some content. And as there are many people in this industry, so you can not win simply you need to be creative, devote proper time, just be focused. 

Even though your family and friends will demotivate you what all shit are you doing. But you don’t listen to them and just do whatever you are doing. I can say all this because I faced the same.
