1. Tell us about your journey.

You aren’t a pure Delihite/Indian unless you have tasted every flavor of Delhi/India, with this thought in mind and our passion to explore we two siblings Dr Sakshi Nigam and Suhas Nigam face behind SPOONOFFLAVOURS ..started this journey around 3 years back.

This page is all about street food, 5-star hotel review, different recipes, travel, health, and especially showcasing hidden gems of Purani Dilli…when 3 years back we started this page we had no clue. We just started it out of passion…slowly after 6 months we realized that this industry is actually getting recognized and we can do a lot more in it.

We started this journey on Instagram first and use to cover everything that we experience. There was a time when we both got busy in our studies and was not having time to manage the page but then our passion made way and we started managing our time as whosoever gets time to share his /her experience…

In this journey have worked with some good brands like Shangrila, Air India, McDonald's etc.the love which we received from our fans actually motivated us a lot

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

This we just mentioned above that just for the passion we started it…and at that time blogging was not on such heights as of now…we use to love clicking pictures and making different things at home and being a Purani Dilli wale we want people to know about this place…

Slowly slowly we started knowing that now we can review on Zomato too, can work with different brands, people started showering love…

Met different people through meets, learned from them and will say we are still learning from the new and old ones and that’s the beauty of this thing that you got to know a lot about others, their recipes, their place and all.

3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?

Well, earlier if you would ask me than I would say no..but in the past 2 years yes….why not. There are a lot more people who have made blogging and Instagram as their full-time career and earning quite well from it…

As you know Rome was not built in a day.So that any career, to earn from it and being recognized you need to work hard for it. In recent years many people have started this thinking that there is a lot of money, fame, etc but I think one should keep in mind without hard work you achieve nothing.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

If I will take the name of anyone than I guess that will be an injustice as you know today Instagram, Youtube, etc is full of wonderful creators. And everyone has something unique about their content ..most of them I see are coming with really amazing food arts, videos, …which just makes them different from others…

So I will say all those who are working hard towards their pages all are my favorite. But when I started this page I use to admire @dilsefoodie a lot.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Like above I just told about the journey and while on this journey looking at others content gives a lot of motivation…and for inspiration I think I won't give credit to any single person as we actually learned from everyone from our grandmother, mother, Instagrammers, etc but yeah it was all ours decision to start this page without knowing much about this field …but yeah looking at the spike and the love we get it just motivated us a lot to make content…

6. What does your typical day look like?

Before the lockdown day was like work, home, making content but now during lockdown it's like we make try lots of new recipes, eat, make new content at home, learning new things… trying to learn more about making content, videos. As earlier was able to manage only 1 content a day but now trying to make at least 2-3 content in a day.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

Trust us we both are not fond of reading books… so I guess the last books we read were our textbooks only.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Just small advice if u want to be a creator in any niche just work hard for it can't just do it because everyone is doing or there is nothing to do so let's do this…no please...do it if you are passionate about it bring new ideas, be creative and respect your fellow creators.
