1. Tell us about your background and journey?

As we know “ journey of thousand miles starts with a single step” similarly this food blog is operated by two of the friends namely Ashi Sood and Prerna Bansal. We both are of the same age that is 22. We created this food blog as soon as our friendship began. We both get along with each other quite well.

We take about 2-3 trips in a year. Therefore we hardly fight. As we are still growing our page, our mood depends on the reach and organic followers that we gain. So far our journey in this food blogging has been through tremendous ups and downs, and we are enjoying our roller coaster ride to a great extent.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

Well, the idea of opening up a food blog ( hungry.paws) ran randomly through our heads. But when we started posting on this food blog there was no stopping it. Back in 2018, we named this account as ‘mouthfull tummytull”, but our craze about animals made us change that.

We needed to give some part of the blog to our endless love towards animals. We started it by following popular food bloggers. We learned how to write captions, how to review a restaurant, how to make a decent video, and many more things.

Slowly and steadily we started gaining some followers, views from verified accounts which worked as a motivation to keep going and there was no stopping to it.

3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?

As we know, the evolution of businesses and careers is taking place at a great pace over the past few years. Many of us have taken various other approaches to earn a living. Our answer to this question is definitely yes. An individual can definitely make an earning career out of blogging. It totally depends on the sheer dedication, commitment, and will.

Though blogging is not an easy way to get into an earning career at first. We are struggling with that. It has still provided us with many other opportunities like invitations from restaurants and collaborations from various NGOs and we have also done some product reviews.

To think of blogging as an earning career you need to have patience. It might look remunerative, however, it is really tough. Blogging can do wonders and provide you with a reliable source only if you're giving all your time and dedication to it.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Our favorite creator is Shivesh Bhatia. He is a 24 years old food blogger and has his own verified Instagram as well as
Youtube handle. He is a self-taught baker, food blogger. He has also launched his own book “ Bake with Shivesh” in 2018. Watching his posts and stories inspires and excites me.

He is one of the reasons we started posting on our handle ( which resulted in a beautiful manner). He has shown and proved that if there are will and dedication anything is possible. You just have to keep following and trusting your path and maintain consistency.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Our endless love and cravings to explore different tastes and different cuisines inspire us the most to churn out the content. Then be it ordering something at home or traveling long distances just to have a particular dish.

The satisfaction level is so high when you finally eat that food your taste buds were craving for. I find so much inspiration in a wedding food fests and places where food is all my eyes can see, food and just-food.

6. What does your typical day look like?

Mostly now we tend to spend more time on our food blog as compared to our personal accounts. We look for various trending dishes and hashtags. Our day starts with daydreaming about super delicious dishes, looking for various recipes and trying them out, searching for various new restaurants and their USPS and of course collecting bills for the captions when we go out and posting pictures at the same time.

Adding on to it we both try to keep ourselves healthy. So we both go to the gym to lose some extra calories and try not to gain some unhealthy weight. To some extent, we are actually doing good. It is said that sometimes an individual needs a break from its daily routine, but in our case, we can definitely say that we are loving it.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Such a cliche answer but what to do? It is one of the best motivational books so far. It tells us, how to follow one's heart, to look openly for your dreams, and to ignore all the negative energies around you. The basic motto of this novel is that one must follow their dreams.

One of the quotes that I loved the most from the book is “ listen to your heart. It knows all things because it came from the soul of the world, and it will one day return there.” It is an amazing novel that taught us that an individual is whole all by itself.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

“Winners never quit and quitters never win”. We have been following this great advice for long now. In simple words, whenever you try to opt something new in your life, it is always a win-win situation for you, either you will achieve it, or you will gain experience which will, in the end, help you to open your wings wide in future and fly higher.

Blogging can be a great productive hobby as we know social media is a great platform to get started so hit it big.
