1. Tell us more about your experience as an educator.

From my experience as a teacher, I should say that a teacher moulds the future generation of a nation. While interacting with students who come from different strata of society, I took special care not to discriminate them in any way either through a word or an action.

It’s preferable that the important topics be lectured in a friendly and light mood so that the students are not easily bored. Acknowledging the fact that students need an extra something from a teacher which will enable him/her to follow their passion, a teacher must be able to provide a platform for the same.

2. What is your opinion of the Indian education system and how would you like to change that?

I feel our system is outdated and requires changes and reformation in different areas so that students are able to reach their full potential. There are limited options available to them in terms of academics in school and also a broadening of the curriculum should be made effective.

3. What changes in the teaching methodology have you seen in recent times?

I have noticed that teachers are giving more emphasis on pragmatic learning rather than theoretical learning. Digitalization has taken over conventional form of a textbook teaching which has been more than useful in current scenarios.

4. How does education help one do well in their career?

The basic aim of education is to gain knowledge in the respective field. Education helps one do well in their career if it can be applied in their respective fields of work. They will be able to relate everything they’ve learned so far with those challenges at work. It also provides a sense of confidence.

5. Do you think teaching as a profession is viewed at par with corporate jobs?

In my opinion, every job should be considered at par with each other as every
profession has different implication on society’s development. While the teaching
profession is more involved in youths’ development, corporate jobs tend to develop the country’s economy.

6. How can we adopt technology to make teaching more effective?

Video-based training has proven to be more effective as it provides information from a new dimension. Technology has provided accessibility for students from different corners of the world to the best education from any college or institution of their choice.

7. Why does India need more educators like you?

In today’s world, students everywhere require teachers who are more approachable and provide them with mental strength required to face every-day struggles. Our country requires people who help students in every way possible rather than sticking to their textbooks.
