1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I come from an army background which involved pretty much moving and packing every 2 or 3 years, which is really exciting for me to be honest, I study at NIFT Jodhpur as a Fashion Communication student.

Coming to my journey, I don't really know because it has been a hell of a crazy ride, but to sum it up, I think my life really turned around last year May'19 when I participated in a Beauty contest, it was hosted in army cant only so there were no limitations therefore with my height and my chubby face, I could kill the ramp with my walk, and I never really thought I could do it unless my mom pushed me into it and voila, I won miss photogenic, and 2nd runner up but that matter because people didn't appreciate me for my walk or anything, they came up to me and appreciated me for my confidence and my spontaneous answers during the question-answer round, I think that's where it began.

I actually started to feel good about myself and super confident, and then college started. People thought I WAS ACTUALLY FUNNY and they made me feel like a person with "good vibes" they used to laugh ay the random funny videos I used to make, so I started posting them, people started loving them then during the lockdown I joined Twitter for fun and soon, my tweets started banging like crazy and they got recognised by Buzzfeed and several influencers like Kusha Kapila (who follows me on twitter EEEEEEE).

ANYWAY, that happened, and now I'm working with someone for a VERY BIG PROJECT which I'm super grateful for, but it's a secret for now.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

Honestly, I was bored so I thought okay maybe I should post my videos on Instagram now and I didn't care about what people thought of it, I was just having fun, my friends in college were loving them, so I was happy.

it's all about Art, edited pictures with Bollywood elements (not to brag, but I'm a Bollywood queen) it's about my face lol, dance and FUN VIDEOS.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an Influencer?

Bloggers are in my opinion people who create content by writing amazing poetries, stories, fashion tips, lifestyle, and influencers are more into digital media and on social media and they have a lot of impact on the masses.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an Influencer?

Well, we've only survived lockdown because of doctors and creators. Doctors made us survive and content creators made us live, whether it was art, poetry, fun videos, or Netflix, so I think yes they're growing in number and there has been a drastic change since the last few years, now people actually look up to being an influencer.

5. What do you think influences consumer behaviour?

The fact that the consumers have started to relate to the person on screen, influences their behaviour which at some point targets their psychological needs.

Earlier, about 10 years ago when people used to watch these Bollywood actresses with non-realistic beauty standards and movies, people used to look up to them but now people relate to these influencers because their stories are not sugar-coated or anything, they just think they're fun because they have shared the same experiences too, so I think that's there.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

It's actually a funny story, while I was studying for my boards in 12th, my mom told me " It depends on your hard work where you'll go for your honeymoon, either you can go to Venice or you can go to Vaishno Devi" and I think that really moved me but apart from that, I honestly don't care about people judging me or not liking my face or anything, because I get  a lot of hatred and trolls too and I keep myself stable by reminding myself, "I'm only getting hate because I'm getting famous, yay"

7. How can someone become a successful Social Media Influencer?

Just two things, Authenticity and Confidence
With these two things, just keep going on and have fun with whatever you do, and you've cracked it!!

8. Which is your favourite book and why?

THE SECRET!!!!

It has changed my life, I started visualising what I want and it manifested. It not only tells you that the universe fulfils your wishes but it keeps reminding you that whatever you want, you can have it all. You don't have to feel controlled, you have the power to change your destiny, and it's all you, it's all in you, the universes rests in you. That's why I'm very proud of my name- Srishti
