1.Tell us about your background and journey.
My name is Ameen ilyas, I am a professional Photographer in dubai. I started photography as my passion, I used to capture nature photos the first time I started to capture them from 2012 onwards. I like to capture the best moments of people, nature, and the street.
I believe that there is a different beauty in everything which the human eye can’t see but which we can see through a photograph. My main aim is to capture the best moments of people that live forever.
2.How and when did you realize your passion for photography?
In 2012 i was going through some websites, facebook then i saw some nature photographs i really loved it. Then I also started to capture some natural photos with my phone ( samsung).
I used to go out and find some good locations and take photos. I used to give life to every photograph I take. I didn’t do any course for Photography, i did self learning by referring google ( trusted website & youtube videos of famous photographers )
3.What are some tips you would like to share with amateur photographers?
- Use a tripod when possible
- Learn to love the rule of thirds
- Experiment with light ( natural & artificial light, early morning & afternoon light, overcast daylight & direct sunlight, flash & without flash )
- Should have good focusing skill
- Shoot first & crop later
- Should have good practice of taking photos, random photos, should have a good relationship with a camera like a human being.
4.What are the important skills one should have to be a successful photographer?
- Creativity
- Technical photography skills
- Patience and concentration
- Attention to detail
- Strong networking skills
- Team working skills
We should have a goal in life, then it is easy to achieve anything. and if we have a passion we should follow it.
5.What are various opportunities available for aspiring photographers?
There are many opportunities available for photographer,
- fashion photography
- food photography
- cinematography
- event photography
- portfolio photography
- magazine
- news
- landscape photography
- portrait photography
Like that many opportunities available, but we should know in which category we are good.. and do that more and more to get a perfect one.
6.Which is your favourite book and why?
I don’t read books, i prefer google ( trusted website articles, youtube videos )
