1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am based out of Ahmedabad. Professionally, I am a freelance digital marketer and a Music Teacher. It's been 3 years since I started my blog @lafoodtales. I used to eat out a lot with my friends and everyone used to ask me about the places.

One day I came across to a girl who used to post food pictures (Didn't know it's called food blog back then) I shared it with my friend and made an account that day.

We started posting every day the idea was pure to show our love for food and help people, mainly it was fun. We didn't even know what are we gonna do with this.

After 5-6 months we got a collaboration and we were so excited about it. I remember, asking that person for the bill and he said it's a collaboration and you don't need to pay anything. That day we got to know about collaborations and free food.

There were hardly 5-6 bloggers in the city. So you know it was purely a passion and unconditional thing for us to build this blog. I was not even aware of the cuisines and different dishes. I didn't even know the pronunciation of quesadilla and it belongs to which cuisine.

I researched about every cuisine, I learned to pronounce different dishes. After some point in time, I realized that people also can make money out of it and I started doing it more aggressively. I turned me all focus on developing this blog and now it's growing rapidly.

I have worked with National/International Brands to promote their products and even got an invite from a couple of resorts for a stay. More than all of these, I love how people admiring me and my work, relying on my recommendations and my DM section full of love. I have a loving virtual family.

2. Which is your favorite cuisine and dish?

I love everything and it completely depends on my mood, can't choose one. But curd rice and khichdi are something I can have all day every day.

3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?

It can be a career for sure but it completely depends on one's goals. I would love to pursue it as a career but no one can become a star overnight and social media is a slow process so for a living, you need something by your side.

4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?

If I'll start listing out here, you will leave me mid-way. You can go to @lafoodtales and I have listed all the cafes Cuisine wise in the highlight section.

5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

I have two personalities one of them needs a good ambiance which should match my vibes and of course along with the taste of the food, hygiene, and service. The other one never minds eating street-side food sitting on the vehicle and being all the messy.

6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

Cheese Cake! Soft and creamy if made with perfection and can be worse in taste if one doesn't know how to handle it properly.
