Your talent, potential, ability, or smartness matters only when you are good at building productive teams related to your respective fields.
Teamwork improves an individual a lot. It allows a person to learn from others, to seek and provide help to others, and to build friendly relations amongst people. A person has strengths and weaknesses. In a team, productivity rises because the collective strength of the team members decreases the number of weaknesses.
Teamwork unites the members. In a team, many people are there. So, it leads to diverse opinions and views related to thoughts or regarding any topic. Teamwork reduces the workload on individuals since the burden related to the work is shared by the entire team. However, every team is unable to work efficiently and productively in a smooth manner. There are some barriers that do not allow members of the team to efficiently. So, here are some tips to make teamwork more efficient.
- Choosing the Right Members- The team members play a vital role in a team. In fact, the productivity and potential of the team depend upon its members. To ensure efficiency and smooth working, the members of the team should be chosen on the basis of their skills, personality, knowledge and working ability. Depending upon the requirements, the team should consist of people with diverse interests related to that field. It should be a well- balanced team.
- Choosing a Great Leader- A great leader is very important for a team. A leader not only gives them valuable feedback and suggestions but also solves their problems if they have any. A leader is essential for a productive team to keep track of the work of other team members. A leader should possess leadership qualities and must ensure that any dispute between the members of the team should not arise.
- Encourage the Members to Communicate- All the members of the team should be encouraged to communicate amongst them. Communication is a very important factor when work is done collectively. Proper communication amongst the members ensures that their problems will be resolved by the other members. In order to encourage team members to communicate meetings and group discussions should be conducted.
- Each Team Member Should be Viewed as Unique- Each team member should be viewed as unique in the team. The strengths and weaknesses of the members should be taken into consideration. A member should contribute to the team according to his/her unique abilities. This will ensure an efficient division of work amongst the members.
- Continuous Learning- The entire team should constantly and perseveringly keep learning. Learning uses creativity. Creativity leads to thinking. Thinking provides knowledge. Knowledge makes us great. Hence, with the motive of learning a team can work in an efficient manner.

A team leader should take care of the team. He/she must ensure that no dispute arises amongst the team members and solve their problems.
The team members should be encouraged to communicate amongst the members. It will help them in solving their problems. The uniqueness of each team member should be respected. The team members should continuously keep learning to keep themselves updated with the things going around. These tips will definitely help a team to work efficiently.
