1. Tell us more about your experience as an educator.

My name's Irine and for me teaching is actually another form of learning. I unlearn and relearn every day. It isn't just about books or syllabus but being with students is filled with ideas, doubts and discussions varying from current politics to movies and social media.

2. What is your opinion of the Indian education system and how would you like to change that?

Education, in India is all about theories, definitions and formulas. But that's not what literally required. Hands on experience, in every field even if it's arts, commerce or science is necessary. I find many students who struggles to find the right career path even in their post-grad level. So it's because of the lack of knowledge on practical purposes of their course.

3. What changes in the teaching methodologies have you seen in the recent times?

Technological advancements have been an aid from recent past years. Usage of audio-visual methods like, external online courses, language labs, virtual learning help students understand outside textbooks.

4. How does education help one do well in their career?

Education is the initial base, but usage is the crucial idea behind learning. If someone with high grades cannot apply his knowledge fail in their career. So learn to use what you understand throughout academic years.

5. Do you think teaching as a profession is viewed at par with corporate jobs?

I think, teaching is entirely different as a profession when compared to corporate jobs.

6. How can we adopt technology to make teaching more effective?

We can really enhance the current versions of technology. We should not deny any advanced technological support system, we should in turn expose them to the current trends of business, science, web and humanities.

7. Why does India need more educators like you?

Young educators are the byproduct of the contemporary world. So we can inform students about foreign universities that provide online courses and assist them to gain access to several journals and webinars. Even about social media platforms like LinkedIn to start off their career.
Finally, we understand the mental state of students easily and quickly support them to achieve their dreams and goals.
