1. Your name & background in less than 50 words.
I’m Niharika Jain. I’m pursuing a Masters in Mass Communication & Journalism. I can sum up my entire personal and professional life in three words – I can win! My parents & my friends, both would vouch for the fact that I have havoc wrecking never-say-die spirit!

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
I’m passionate about getting clicked. I feel connected to the camera whenever I’m in front of it. So, I used to get clicked and upload it on Instagram. Eventually, I realized that I can convert my passion into my profession and that’s how it happened. Now, you can find lots of portrait ideas, fashion tips/tricks, makeup tutorials, and much more related to lifestyle content on my page.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
An influencer is someone with an online platform who has a massive following and therefore a large impact on an audience’s buying decisions whereas a blogger is someone who writes about a particular niche on their websites and publishes their own original, valuable content. They may or may not have a mass following, unlike an influencer.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
It is, very much.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?
Considering what I’ve learned in my subjects, there are so many factors that influence consumer behavior like group influence, usability, social life, culture, financial status, etc.

6. Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
Oh yes! I’m looking forward to it. I think in that case your followers will focus more on what you share, not how many likes your posts get. They always compare creators on like basis whereas I think it’s the content that matters.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?
Although I’m not a book reader I read “The Secret” and I truly loved it. It’s incredible how beautifully your thoughts are changed into reality just because you believe in them and yourself. It encourages people to really visualize their goals clearly in order to attract what they want.

8. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
I believe on the sunny side of things. Be happy for the smallest of good you have and see how that tiny drops of happiness brings a mighty ocean of success.
