Insights on Instagram by an Influencer: Ankita Chandel

What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
The drive for knowledge the passion for food and the hunger for disciples. I have always suggested these amazing places to eat by people and I often wondered why aren’t they famous yet because the food was amazing at almost all the places so yeah that led me to start this page.

How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
When you tell people about a place where you’ve been eaten which you like it that’s blogging and when you start promoting every place you go to then you become an influencer. The first you do it for fun and the second you do it for profit and if other’s are getting influenced by your work its influencer.

Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
No. These days nothing is financially sustainable because the competition is so much that one really needs to be unique in their own way to stand out for themselves.

What do you think influences consumer behavior?
The consumer is influenced by better profiles and beautiful pictures and yes also food. Just be different from rest and create your own and original content.

Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
It’s the same as removing the result from the notice board. Influencers or bloggers should be chosen according to their content not because of the fake likes and followers which can be bought.

What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Four simple words “don’t waste your time” even if it’s just a year but utilize it in doing what you actually want to do. Become perfect in what you think you can be not in what others think you can be.
