Insights on Instagram by an Influencer: Ankita Bhattacharya

1. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
The page is not just the food blogging but also the tasting which I enjoy the most. I love trying the food of all different tastes. Initially, it wasn't about the pictures but the taste only, eventually I saw that people must also see what is better and available to them, so I began with this idea. I wasn't inspired by anyone to do so, as initially, it was just a personal account, and later it turned to a blog as I got a good audience.

2. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
Influencer attracts the people towards something whichever is wanted or needed whereas blogger explores the things which may not influence people to do or to abstain from doing, which can be just seen and avoided or learned. Influencer provides a dominant position over the choices of people as what is available and can be done. Tending to do is what influencer does to people and it is attracting too.

3. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Currently, I'm not much into earning but yeah, I'm getting offers on a regular basis of which some I approve where I get paid well and I see great income ahead as financially it is sustainable.

4. What do you think influences consumer behaviour ?
It's the content and attractiveness of the content. A blogger or influencer doesn't provide anything but a content which must be so elegant that it must anyhow influence people to go for it or to try or visit it. It provides ideologies regarding new things and stuff where people can move ahead for it. As regarding the food, I've made people go to the places and try the dishes I've posted.

5. Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
It would have a bad effect on the influencers or bloggers as a likes option is a thing that encourages them. The more likes make them efficacious which leads to the high output of audience attraction and better content posting.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Work hard for passion. I don't see the thing that what id going on with my page I just focus on the things which I love i.e. tasting, exploring the food, and places. Visiting the unexplored places. I've started with home food pictures and now I'm being invited to restaurants which are much reputed and the passion for tasting food remains the same which is at highest. I focus on the content when it comes to posting, as the food may be of a different variety but the need of my audience is also in various categories.

I'm a simple and foodie girl who loves to taste all the best kinds of food wherever I can reach. I had this crazy passion for tasting new things since childhood and apparently, it became my work which also includes my passion. I'm pursuing graduation and seeing for further education which includes my work as well as my father. Been a part of the nuclear family where I've always been the pampered child and this is all I have for my background.
