What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
So I started my journey in September 2017. I just got inspired by one of my classmates he was also doing this so I thought I can also give it try and here I am now. My page is all about the hidden gems of food in Delhi/NCR. Where you can get the best food in Delhi/NCR it is on my page.
How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
A Blogger is someone who blogs who writes about something on his/her own website or any other website and an influencer are one who influences online on various platform.
Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
I don't agree with this I don't think that it will help you in the long term because there are soo many influencers nowadays, competition has increased and it didn't fetch that amount which will be able to fill our needs But there is one thing you have to do if you want to make this as a profession then you have to work very hard day and night and get the best content so that brand doesn't have to look for another instead of you.
What do you think influences consumer behavior?
Basically, it depends on two points. First, relatability that my audience can relate with or not. For example like if I start promoting Nykaa and other fashion brands so will my audience will able to relate? No, they can't because I have a food and travel audience. The second thing is the application of a product that we are influencing.
Your opinion on Instagram contemplating removing likes option for posts.
Personally, I didn't like this initiative of removing likes, now how will one differentiate between the influencers with amazing reach and genuine following. It will be the same now for all influencers who have fake followers and who have genuine real followers.
What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
My mantra in life is just to be happy, keep my parents happy, and live a very simple life. It's like I think after 10 years when in go sleep then there should be no tensions about anything. All I just was is happiness in my life.
I am Sumit Kathuria an engineer by profession a foodie and traveler by heart. I am a true wanderer who loves exploring, if I get 2-3 holidays I am the one who will make a trip and just go out and enjoy. This makes me very happy 📷
