Never Forget Your Roots and Where You Come From - Gagandeep Singh Anand

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Gagandeep Singh Anand. I am of Indian descent, Punjabi. I am based out in California. My parents are from New Delhi, India but came here to start a new life. I am the youngest of 5 siblings. I have 3 older sisters, Jasleen, Sarabjeet, and Kirandeep and an older brother, Ishwardeep.

My journey started from making music with my brother 8 years ago. Our production name, A2TooFire. Then, I started making prank videos, pranking my family, mostly my mom. Posted them on my Instagram story and then my sister told me about TikTok and then I started posting them there.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

I’ve always had an Instagram , but since everyone liked my video of me pranking my mom on tik tok, I decided to also post on Instagram. So I posted videos of my family and I daily; especially continued to prank my mom. I hope when people watch these videos they smile and laugh.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

I feel as if a blogger mainly posts about daily life. And an influencer is more active on their social media and followers.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

To be honest, I’m not sure since it’s only been a few months since I’ve started, but I hope that’s the end goal.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

I think branding and promotion definitely influences consumer behavior. Giving the audience things that they like to see and what they can relate to is a huge influence.

6.What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

My idea of success is to always be humble and stay humble. Never forget your roots and where you come from. I believe that creating a goal sheet and marking off all your accomplishments is success to me.
