1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I think it was back when I was 7 and was randomly asked to sing at a birthday party where people other than my family genuinely acknowledged my skill, it was then I realised I was good at something but I didn’t think of it as a passion/profession because I was taught that becoming a doctor is the only fitting profession that there is for me, later in 8th grade, my talent curbing school decided to host an inter-school competition which also included the music category, in which I enthusiastically participated and won, it was than I knew what I am truly passionate about, I liked being on stage, the thrill of performing and addressing a crowd made me feel alive which a book of biology could never compete with.

2. Who is your favourite artist and why?

I honestly listen to all kinds of the genre so I have a thousand favourite artists but if I had to pick one I’d choose Rihanna because she truly inspired me to sing like SING sing you know, her range is incredible and the confidence when she’s on stage is peerless.

3. Can you throw some light on the opportunities one gets as a singer?

Haha honestly not much unless you’re lucky or you go viral because there are too much competition and so many incredible artists creating top tier content every day it’s difficult for singers to get the recognition they deserve.

4. Is format training required or can one train themselves purely on the basis of talent?

No, not necessarily, if a person has a knack for singing then training isn’t really required but the practice is, warming up your vocals is very essential to be able to sing without straining your voice. Most famous singers are tent trained so I hope that answers your question.

5. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring singers?

Never stop dreaming because your time to shine WILL come, sometimes it comes early and sometimes it’s late all you have to do is keep going and follow your passion enthusiastically.

Never let anxiety get the best of you if you have a small group of people appreciating your work do it for them and most importantly for yourself. Validations come and go but the passion remains.

6. Which is your favourite book and why?

Ah, I’m so sorry to disappoint I am not really into books, I tried reading a couple but I realised it wasn’t my cup of tea, I enjoy movies though. I’ve seen an infinite number of movies that I’ve lost count so if I were to talk about my favourite movie it would be Shawshank Redemption because it’s truly a class apart and I can’t even begin to compliment the storyline and acting, that movie talks about hope and how it’s a beautiful thing so it’s really inspirational, if ‪11/10‬ recommend!
