All Happiness Depends on a Leisurely Breakfast - Mansi Rathi

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Mansi Shiv Rathi, and I’m based in Nagpur. I’m an aspiring CA student, a commerce graduate and a big time FOODIE as well as a food blogger.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

In 2016, I was in Mumbai and being a big time foodie that I am, I had explored the city’s food to the optimum in a very short span. At that time, we had a very few food bloggers in India. The term food blogging was so new to people, many of them didn’t even understand what it was. This made me realise the need to start my own blog and page. But the sole purpose and intention to start a blog was to release stress and keep my mind calm.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

A blogger is someone who documents about any particular thing and publishes that in the form of blogs. For me, any person can become a blogger. But not any person or every blogger can become an influencer.

An influencer is someone who can change or influence the mindset of people via the way they live. You can can literally influence people into what you wear, eat, exercise, products you use, your lifestyle and what not. But for that, you have to be liked by the people. They should like the way you live your life and should be able to form a connect with you so as to let you influence them.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

No. It’s not at all easy to be financially stable to be an influencer because still people out their do not accept that professions such as influencer marketing exist and also due to so much competition because of the upcoming/ budding influencer and bloggers.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

Every individual consumer has their own way of thinking, so depending on the brands and influencers they follow tells a lot about how they want to be influenced into.

But to put forward a generic answer, we Indians have a tendency to fall for discounts and reasonable commodities. So we tend to get influenced by such advertisements offering huge discounts or selling off their products at cheap rates, and we in turn, end up shelling our money.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

There’s no such idea or formula to become successful. I don’t think I have been close to success but yes, one thing that I stick by no matter what would be “to be consistent in everything I do in life.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

The only key to rise above all and go beyond would be CONSISTENCY and nothing else.Consistency coupled with creativity will definitely help you do wonders.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

My favourite book definitely has to be “Follow Every Rainbow” by Rashmi Bansal.
It contains the journey of women entrepreneurs who set up something of their own and went big.
