Go with the flow & embrace wins/losses as they come at you. Your struggles will help you grow in the long run and your wins will continue to motivate you to do more in life.
Tell
us about your background and journey.
I come from a Pakistani-Muslim family. I was born and raised in Dubai with 4 brothers & me being the only daughter. I moved to the U.S in 2014 with my parents and younger brother and have been calling Seattle, WA home ever since.
I've been working and going to school full-time since the age of 16 and use my
Instagram as my creative outlet. I've always been the black sheep in our
society, breaking down stereotypical norms and showing people broader views of
life that are beyond culture and religion.
I continue to talk about social
issues that impact our world & focus on empowering youth to chase their
dreams.
What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
I
was always a social media enthusiast and as I grew older I wanted to connect
with as many people as possible. I used to follow some blog inspirations
on Instagram and one day It hit me that I want to continue posting what I
already post but more publicly and make relatable content.
I share everything
from fashion, self-care, lifestyle, and empowering people. I share a lot of my
personal life there to make sure I am connecting with like-minded
individuals.
How
would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
I
wouldn't. They are one and the same for me.
Is
it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Yes it is. Social media is the number 1 chosen way of advertising in this day and age. Companies want to market their products through macro & micro-influencers to advertise to specific markets. If you are consistent, genuine, and authentic with yourself and your platform then it can be your source of income.

What
do you think influences consumer behavior?
Their needs/wants - One thing I learned in business school is that consumers don't know what they want. You need to find ways/ideas you can simplify or add to someone's life whether it's through a product or through a service. If your approach is genuine and relatable then consumers will lean on you.

What
is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Go with the flow & embrace wins/losses as they come at you. Your struggles will help you grow in the long run and your wins will continue to motivate you to do more in life.
My happiness is within my family, close friends, and food, lots of food.

How
can someone become a successful social media influencer?
Consistency and authenticity is key when it comes to social media. It depends on how you want to measure success and what your niche is. Focusing on your niche and what type of audience you want to adhere to is super important.
