Don't Go Behind Numbers. Build Yourself and Stand Out From the Crowd - Ragendu Rajan

My only regrets are the moments when i doubted myself and took the safe route. Life is too short to waste time being unhappy

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I am into Banking and Finance by profession. A very positive person and loves to smile and laugh a lot. Growing up I was very hesitant to share my thoughts. Always thought that I was never worthy. But somewhere when I started blogging and people could relate that felt really good and it keeps me going.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

After being a mom started Instagram just to save our memories and share it with family. Later started blogging and saw that a few found it very useful. Especially since I was working and taking care of home alone, many parents wanted to know how and what I do. In a very short span my Insta family grew. Started with sharing recipes, parenting, and activities it has been really a fun filled journey.

3. Is vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?

Financially it is, but you will have to build your identity and stand out from the crowd. Only then will you have many paid promotions or viewers in case of YouTube. But personally my choice is to have a career/business which gives you a stable pay along with Instagram or YouTube. Social media can anytime be closed or stopped in that case having another option for being financially independent is important.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

My all time fav is @diaper_and_lipsticks and @mominthebay . They are so so so down to earth and would really connect to you. Saru is a sweetheart she responds to DMs and connects with everyone. Chandni is amazing I love her humour and she supports all other fellow bloggers , she instantly likes and comments on posts and that shows how a blogger should be.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Adi. My inspiration is Adi my son. I try to do things for him and that's where my inspiration comes from.

6. What does your typical day look like?

My work starts at 5am so, an early bird I am. And work ends at 2pm and the rest of my time is dedicated for my Son Adi. We have long walks a lot of chats and activities, reading and off to bed.  And while he sleeps I Instagram for some time. Respond to DMs.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Don't go behind numbers. Build yourself and stand out from the crowd. Be humble and kind to others. Support your fellow bloggers.

Connect and be kind to your followers. They decide your growth.  Love yourself.
