1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I have been in the Banking Industry for 20 years.
Started my journey in Retail Banking, moved to Corporate Banking, International
Trade, Lead successful migrations, got into Training, certified trainer for
Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning and now into Project Management.
2. What
is your opinion about remote working?
A great option in the pandemic times to ensure
client delivery is taken care off. People who can contribute by working from
home can definitely be tapped into main workforce. Attracting talent and
retaining them by changing our ways of working can make us future ready.
3. How
do you keep your employees and team engaged? What are some of the shifts in
engagement strategies?
Regular catch up is the key, ensuring you
understand the requirements of your team and they get time off work to focus on
personal endeavours. E.g. Fun day Friday, Quizzes, Creative competitions etc.
4. How important is skill development for employees and how do you do that?
It is important that every employee has a
Personal Development Plan and his or her progress is tracked as part of monthly
121s. Ensure the employee aspirations get translated into short term /
long-term goals with action plans.
5. How
according to you has HR as a profession evolved over the years?
All professions along with HR has evolved with
changing strategies, employee requirements, change in culture, ethics, and
client requirements. To stay relative HR has to ensure the policies are
enhanced to boost employee morale, engagement, and retention.

What are some of the qualities you look for in a person when hiring for
leadership?
Does the person fit into/ meet the role
requirement? Does he/she have ambitions to evolve, can they lead people, do
they have a vision, how can they justify their achievement?
