Plan Everything and Just Take a Leap of Faith to Start - Tejas Gurtu

My biggest inspiration is my family and how they have helped me form an attitude because of which I never give up.

1. Tell us about your background & journey.

I am Tejas Gurtu, I just graduated from college. I was diagnosed with Duschene Muscular Dystrophy and spreading information about it is one of the biggest contributors for my YouTube channel. I always felt the urge to bring out my energy and use it to help people. It has been a short journey as of now and the focus is on learning more and more and discovering where can I take this channel.

2. When did you first decide that you want to create content & how did you start?

I started the channel with a single question "How can I bring out my thoughts in such a way that it creates value in someone's life ?". The major tipping point was this Lockdown, it provided me with enough time to think and question my worth so I eventually went down and wrote somewhat of a script and it was just a note saved in my mobile for over a week and then I just decided to break open the shell of doubt and just went to shoot it on my mobile.

The person who had never even edited a video saw a tutorial on YouTube and edited the video and finally, it began.

3. Who is your favourite creator & why?

I was inspired by many YouTubers but Tanmay Bhat was the one who made me feel that I should also try this. The question was what should my channel focus on so I found what I can create and it was helping people find motivation and an urge to fight their own situation.

4. How & where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

My biggest inspiration is my family and how they have helped me form an attitude because of which I never give up. To be honest, I yet to discover the kind of content I want to give but one thing is certain I want to help people by giving them hope to move forward.

I find inspiration from my own short life, I want to share information about my disease and help guide people.

5. Which is your favorite book & why?

"Ronaldo" by Luca Caioli is my favorite book as the name suggests it's a biography of Cristiano Ronaldo. It is inspiring to see how a person from the streets of Madeira became such a huge star just by constantly working hard, having confidence and belief that he is the best in the world.

It makes me believe in my ability and that I can also change my life if I never give up.

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future & aspiring creators?

I consider myself as an aspiring YouTube creator and I have to learn a lot. But from this small journey what I can say is that don't give up and if you have an idea don't just sit with it.

Plan everything and just take a leap of faith to start. Be humble and learn from your mistakes, ask people close to you for genuine criticisms and try and improve whatever you created.
