Surroundings Near My Home in Bavaria Are the Main Reason I Started Posting Photos

I find inspiration "in front of my door". I am so happy to call Bavaria my home with the surrounding alps. Good light is the most important for my photos, this is why I mostly shot at sunrise and sunset.

1. Tell us about your background and journey

My name is Marlene, called 'Leni' and I live in the south of Bavaria. I was born in Austria, this is why the mountains are home to me. My all-time favorite quote: Home is where the mountains are. Since I can think I have this passion for photography.

In the last years, especially, I started to photograph landscapes near my home and it has become such a big part of my life. I started posting landscape- photos on Instagram 3-4 years ago and my journey began.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

Since I can think I have this passion for photography. Especially in the last years I started to photograph landscapes near my home and it has become such a big part of my life.

The mountains and the surroundings near my home in Bavaria are the main reason I started posting landscape-photos on Instagram 3-4 years ago. I work full-time in a marketing-sector in a spa-resort and on the weekends I am mostly exploring my background.

I am always happiest while traveling. My home away from home was Indonesia, especially Bali – where I’ve been twice and I fell in love at the very first second. Can’t wait to come back!

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer

I would describe myself more as a so-called "blogger". I mostly blog about my travels and hardly do ads. I want to stay authentic and never l lose my passion for this kind of "Instagram-thing". I don’t really see it as a job, which is good in my opinion.

My community expect landscape-photos with good light, this is what my account is about. Always in search of the good light. An Influencer influences the community with special products. They kinda make a living out of promoting products on Instagram. This could be also authentic, but it’s not my intention.

4. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

My boyfriend supports all my "photo-ideas" and knows exactly how they should look like the way I want to. We perfectly complement each other.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

The keyword is authenticity in all ways. The community should trust you. It is quite important just to promote products you are really using in your private life and you should represent the vision of the brand. Long-term collaborations are also beneficial. Always stay yourself in a fast-moving world like this. The best recipe for an active and trustworthy community.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

Same response as in the question before. Always stay yourself in a fast-moving world like this. Time is like a flowing river, it won’t come back. Enjoy every day to the fullest and don’t take life too seriously either you are feeling good or bad sometimes. We are all humans.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

I am not really into reading books all day but the last book I read and quite liked was the book called "Das Café am Rande der Welt".

The book is about valuable values in life. Learn to be really happy from the bottom of your heart. A book about the meaning of life. I think it is so important to be aware of what really counts and that you just need a few things to be happy.
