Work Hard Day and Night to Turn Your Dream Into Reality - Nidhi Khurana

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Hi, I'm Nidhi, a wayfarer who clicks and writes. My journey to travel started two years ago when I first visited Jaipur with my college friends. It was one of the best 5 days I had spent in a long time.

While I was out there exploring the pink city's culture, I realized how different I am as a person while traveling. I fell in love with that person, hence, kickstarted my journey as a student traveler.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

Haha, this is super funny! I never had any plans for sharing my travel content anywhere. But I was lucky enough to have some people in my life who motivated me to an extent where I realized that I should start sharing my content.

One fine night, just a day before my exam, I had a sudden urge to share my favorite picture from Andaman. I still remember it was 17th November 2018 when I uploaded my first picture. And since then there's no looking back. I've managed to travel to 10+ places with my regular college.

3. Is vlogging and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?

I haven't started either of it so I can't tell for myself but yes, there are several people out there who have been living their lives out of content creation.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

My favorite Creator and Travel Blogger is Shivya Nath. The way she has grown into a selfless human and a successful Travel writer is surely inspiring. Her book 'Shooting Star' is one of my favorite reads, too! I look up to her!

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I always loved clicking pictures of places and me. So I guess it was something that was already in me.

6. What does your typical day look like?

I wake up early, write content for various clients since I'm a freelance writer, think through the pipeline of content that's I've created for my Instagram page, work on some future projects, and dream about traveling.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

Reflections of A Man by Amari Soul is my favorite book since it teaches a woman about her worth and that she is deserving of every possible joy that exists on this earth. It has helped me become who I am today.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

The day you have an idea popping into your head, start working towards realizing it immediately. The road is full of hurdles but once you reach the final destination, the feeling of content is unmatchable. You'll have to work hard day and night to turn your dream into reality. There are no short cuts!
