DJ Dharak

I was always involved with music and dance but I took Djing seriously in 2011 when I started producing music and found success in it and I thought I can do much better so ended up opening a Djing school and started touring

Tell us about your background and journey

I was born in Gujarat (dry state ) and finished my school in Gujarat, went to Australia for my graduation after that I went to London for a higher grade.

Finally settled down in the USA, so yes it’s been a long journey but music and dance have always been around me. Since school days I have been taking part in dance competitions and drama, later on, when I finished my schools for a couple years before Australia, I run my own dance academy and was doing small DJ parties for friends and family, ever since then there is no looking back .even in Australia and London while studying I always kept my djing practice on.

Who is your favourite artist and why?

My favourite artist as a Dj would be David Guetta. Not because he just play good music but also his vibe when he is behind the console.Such happy and positive energy he generates while playing music .also his tracks selections are dope .

When did you discover your love for music?

As I said ever since I was in school I was always involved with music and dance but I took Djing seriously in 2011 when I started producing music and found success in it and I thought I can do much better so ended up opening a Djing school and started touring.

Any piece of advice for the people who are willing to join this field?

As I always say people who are new to the industry must always have plan B, these days I have seen so many young DJs leave their study and jump into djing, I would say please finish your study well and on side focus on your technical Djing skills. Give equal attention.

What opportunities you get after being a DJ?

Once you are a complete Dj, you have clubs, weddings, corporate Gigs waiting for you, as well as u can explore into a production like remixes and sometimes original music too, if you kee the standard high then you can endorse brands too

What is your mantra of success?

Every day you have to wake up and think about what can I do to bring something new to the industry and that inspires me to be different from others.
