1. Tell us more about your background and journey.
I am Sumita Haldar Shweta, studying in the Department of Sculpture, University of Dhaka. Although I studied sculpture, I like painting. And this is the reason I have slowly entered this world of painting. Although I never wanted to be an artist from a young age, luck has made me stand here. None of us can predict the future, so I still can't predict what will happen in the future.
2. Who is your favourite artist and why?
Van Gogh and Claude Monet. I believe in them as my God. The love for their work and the tendency to try something new inspires me to love their work.
3. Is it a financially stable career?
Of course. Art can be used for any purpose. My "Mandala" style can be used effortlessly in anything from dress design, home decor. And also being used. So no doubt anyone in this sector can stabilize their career.
4. Where do you get inspired to create art?
"Nature". Where else is there a larger inspiration sector than nature. It has always been my core inspiration.
5. What kind of book do you prefer to read?
I like to read Bengali novels. Rabindranath Tagore, Upendrakishore is my favourite. But I like to read some detective series.
6. What piece of advice would you like to give to the future aspirants?
"Art is the oxygen of my mind, first the mind is fresh then business thinking".
