A very entertaining treasure hunt story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - ‘The Sign of the Four‘ is the second novel of the series that features Sherlock Holmes.
After ‘ A Study in Scarlet ‘, this is the next novel that should be read in order to complete the series of 4 novels. The author wrote 4 novels and 56 short stories featuring Sherlock Holmes.
The story is a breath-taking quest of finding the lost treasure that was looted by some soldiers and solving the unexpected turns of events that were the consequence of that loot.
It is yet another brilliant work by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. With every novel more interesting than the other and on a completely different plot, this novel takes you on a roller coaster with unexpected ups and downs making it more interesting.
All the characters are written so well and the novel not only takes you through the journey of the protagonist - Sherlock Holmes - but also provides a detailed journey of other characters.
The writing of the author is very descriptive and fast-paced so it keeps you on your toes and engaged throughout the story. The novel fills you with curiosity and you just want to know what will happen next.
I enjoyed reading this novel a lot. This is one of my favorite novels. It is very entertaining and refreshing. The novel is suitable for all people of any age group who loves reading a good mystery novel, a child will like it as much as an adult. If you like reading mystery novels, you cannot afford to not read it.
It is a classic novel which features the famous detective – Sherlock Holmes, a character which is loved by everyone.
By the end of the novel, you will surely recognize and love the marvelous work done by the author. Everyone at least once must read about the fascinating character that the author has created who seems so real and at the same time seems so unbelievable to be true.
I am sure that you will enjoy this novel as much as I did or even more.
