YouTube policies are very strict which avoids videos from being downloaded on our phone. Also, several common browser plug-ins that used to allow YouTube videos streaming are now disabled, so it should be no surprise to find that any apps you used to do the same have been patched to delete the functionality. Having said that, there is always a way to do this and it’s like this:
A free app called Titan Downloader must be
downloaded. This was one of the apps that allowed YouTube videos to be super
easily downloaded once but blocked the feature – at least on the surface.
You’ll be warned that because of “copyright issues” you can’t download an app for YouTube directly from the app and try to download.
- Use Safari to scan the video and copy the URL you want to import.
- Paste the address and carry the video back to The Titan Downloader. To start playing, quickly tap “Done” button in the top left corner, press the replay button.
- Tap and keep your finger on the video window itself as soon as the window shrinks. A menu is shown after a while. To save the video in the app, tap “Download” or “Download As”.
Now, if you want to store the video on your
phone directly, tap the “videos” tab at the base of the screens, tap and hold
the video icon, and press “Save to Camera Roll”. Tada!
It shouldn’t be surprising if this secret
(overlooked) bit of functionality was patched out too long ago, so if you want
to able to download YouTube videos in the long term, and without jail breaking
your computer, make sure you download the software quickly.
You can save videos on Iphone or Ipad or any other device by just screen recording. This technique is usually free and can happen conveniently on any IOS device.
Steps For This Include
- Launch YouTube and find the video you wish to play.
- Turn to landscape orientation.
- Swipe up and tap the record button (the dot within the circle) in the Control Centre.
- Wait while the video is playing and then tap when it’s finished to stop the recording.
- This will save the video into your camera roll.
Although if we see a broader picture,
downloading YouTube videos for commercial reasons can be unethical. Personal viewing should generally be the only
reason here, this way we can avoid ethical and copyright issues.
